Default2,

Just wondering, do you think the ND/MICH game will be close? Its hard to see either team scoring bunches of points in that one, so I don't think a blowout is in the cards.

September 7, 2010  07:08 PM ET

Not sure...Michigan scored 30 against UCONN who is supposed to be good this year (picked by some to go to BCS bowl?)....and ND got 23 against Purdue.

Not going to be a blowout, or high scoring. I'm liking ND 24-17..ND is still riding the high that Kelly has brought in....that koolaid will get to them eventually, but not this weekend

Stanford/UCLA
Michigan/Notre Dame
Oregon/Tennesssee
Cal/Colorado

I'd say this week has the best matchups of any for this season in CFB.

I do NOT approve of this!

Although, it would be so like the Pac-10 for some random upset like that to occur early on in the year.... heck, at ANY time in the year.

But where's number 12?

September 7, 2010  10:48 PM ET

I can't wait until the Bama PSU game. It's seriously been on my mind the entire summer.

I'd be stunned if Colorado pulled out a win in Berkeley. That's a big game though for both conferences, whichever one wins, can argue they have more depth. So far Big 12 is up 1-0 with the K state win over UCLA.

Nothing personal, just don't believe in the Cardinal yet without the G man in the backfield until they beat someone half decent. UCLA will qualify as that if Stanford wins, but UCLA also has the home edge here.

Gerhart gone is the biggest hole Stanford has ever had to fill. But people are underestimating the value of that offensive line. It's the second best in the country if you ask me, behind only Alabama. In addition to that, the Cardinal have 4 RB's who all have starting potential, but for now, are splitting carries which I like, keep all their legs fresh. And of course, we can't forget about Andrew Luck, one of the top 5 QBs in the nation.

But I do understand those who feel Stanford has to prove themselves without Gerhrat first before they give them any credibility.
