I think Kevin Durant is sitting at either #4 or #5. Kobe, Lebron, Dwade are all about equal, but I put them in that order and then I think Durant and Dwight Howard are a notch below those 3. Durant is very good and his potential looks overwhelming. He could possibly play better than Wade moving forward, but he hasn't proven himself to be the 3rd best player yet. I think he has to improve a little bit on defense also, but I'm sure he will.

Also, within 2 years I think Durant will be the best player in the NBA as I think Kobe will be great 2 more years and then start to slowly decline around 2012. Lebron will be about the same I think. DWade will still be excellent also but I think Durant will pass hm. Durant is such a good shooter that I think he might average 35 or 36 points per game sometime in the next 3 or 4 years. So far, DWade and Lebron are both far superior defenders than Kevin Durant. If he improves his defense he can become the best.

I would argue that Durant is better than Lebron. Lebron's talents stem from his athleticism. Durants come from skill. I would say that Kobe is still 1, followed by Durant, James, Howard, and Wade.

I agree if his defense and passing awareness improves he will surpass them. I don't think at the moment he is better but he ultimately will be.

All i want to know is "Why does KD get the nod as being 3rd best now?" is it because there setting him up to be the new face of the league since so many are p'd @ Lebrons summer move. Wade is constantly ignored and crapped on by the media and the NBA. I love KD but GET SOME TIME ON THE JOB JR!!! and he should be just as good as Kevin Garnett with a 3pointer. Not Wade.

Do you mean better THAN Wade. I don't think people should blog until they master the language, if you are not lazy, it is quite simple really. Perhaps, you might try to remember what they were trying to teach you in grade school.

Did you have any useful content to add? If your going to make the effort to criticize grammar, please also add the effort to discuss the topic. I'm interested to know your opinion on the matter.

i agree fully with you sloppy he needs to inprove defnese think he really 2 years away from best in nba.. :)

wade is done. durant is way past wade, and rising. i think when its all said and done he will do more than lbj

You don't think your grammar should be criticized? Typical. Are you someone special? If you are putting your writing out in public at least show us the courtesy of not mutilating the language. As to your topic, why worry about who is the best, it's also so typical and mundane.

Is it fair to assume from this post that you come on a sports site designed for sports fans with the sole purpose of critiquing grammar instead of doing anything sports related?

Mutilated is too strong of a word to be used in the situation you are describing. Than vs then is very common error and very minor. Making this error shows a very small lack of ability to communicate properly, but not being able to read and interpret the intended meaning shows a greater lack of ability to communicate properly. If the content is still comprehendable, this might not be the best forum for unnecessary grammar lessons.

Please explain the part about why any of this is so typical? Do you mean that its typical for a sports site to include sports related topics? Of course it is. That's like saying its typical for someone to turn the knob on a door before they open it and walk through it. Of course it is, that's what its designed for. Surely you must mean something else. Combining the use of mundane and typical in this context seems awkward, almost like you meant to type something else.

You still haven't offered a sports opinion. I'm no authority by any means, but if you aren't going to discuss sports there's really no reason for you to be here, right?

what about the talent it takes to play defense so well? There are plenty of people in the world as big as he is that cannot do what he does. I think Howard is awesomely talented and still getting better.
