Tampa Bay Devil Rays Fan Group  > Devil Rays Message Board  > Rays Ownership Next Step?
May 4, 2007, 09:36 AM
I definately like the first steps that Stuart Sternberg and his management staff have taken with the Rays in the past couple of years. Thanks to Vince Naimoli for getting MLB into the bay area but a change at the top was definately needed.

So what are the next steps for the Rays to become a more viable and prosperous MLB team? Free agent pitching? Facilities? Marketing?

It gets pretty old looking at the box scores in the paper and seeing attendance hovering at or below 10k unless the Yankees or Red Sox are in town.

I'm hearing that next year charging for parking will be returning to the Trop. Will that drive attendance down further , or will the young stars that the team has been grooming be able to overcome that?

What are your opinions on the next steps for the Devil Rays?
