In consolation I want to serve duck a l'orange to the Oregon cheer squad (and a little of that Big Orange Kool-Ade to loosen things up).

Big Orange Kool-Ade (as I remember it)

White Lightening*
Fresh squeezed orange juice*
A dash of langistino bitters

Chill in a shaker and serve straight up, or pour it over cubed or crushed ice; garnish with fresh sliced kumquats.

*Proportioned to taste. Start at 1:1 and adjust accordingly.

Now that you mention it, an upgrade in home decoration would be nice. A nice lion-skin rub by the fireplace. Last year I picked up some alligator luggage and a set of horns that I can use for a hat rack.

I tell ya what, ya come up north or go out to the desert looking for some poisonous nuts, it might not work out too well for ya!

84, perhaps you can inform me of another use for buckeyes. I know them to be good for growing another tree or for sling shot.
