Saints 38 49ers 10
Based on last week's performance, those 10 points would have to be the result of turnovers or special teams play.

To paraphrase an SI writer, both the head coach and the starting quarterback are still trying to figure out what the heck they're doing. My confidence in the former is waning. My confidence in the latter is gone. I'm not advocating their dismissal during the season but, all bets are off after that. Can them both if they fail to meet expectations.

There are 2 reasons why I'm against firing anyone until after the season 1. You allow those that support the QB or Coach to say that "Oh you didn't give him a fair chance" 2. Unless there is a great QB or Coach sitting alone in his living room waiting to be picked up then wait until after the season when out of work coaches and QB's abound and you don't have to be so hasty in your decision. If you were to compare this season to a 200 high hurdle race then you could say that we didn't hear the starter gun or we tripped coming out of the starting blocks, so now can we clear any hurdles or ever finish the race?
Peter King predicted an upset of the Saints.
I agree. 49ers always play NO full on, they just overlooked Seattle a little bit.
Gonna be close!
Well, Singletary may have just jinxed the 49ers. He's pretty confident though!

Singletary has maintained that he doesn't know much about the offense. His offensive coordinator has never spent more than 2 years as any teams OC, then you have both of them with this strange fascination with Alex Smith and making excuses for him. If the 49ers start out 0-3 then they need to give Carr a chance and if neither Carr nor Smith can make Jimmy Rayes offense work then you need to realize that the problem is with the OC, and if the head coach can't realize that then he shouldn't be the head coach.
The local press claims that there is a RAT in the 49er organization that is spilling the beans as to what is being said in coaching and player meetings.

Can Washington make it 2 in a row over teams from Texas? Is it in the stars? (*=winner of game straight up, no spread).
San Francisco showed that they have the potential to be a very good team, they played very hard and never gave up. This was one of those games in which the New Orleans Saints didn't win the game but instead the 49ers lost the game with crucial errors.
