QUOTE:
at the end of the day thats my problem. I accepted the fight under these conditions.
this is all you have to read...
No excuses. At the end of the day, he is the one who accepted the fight.
I hope Jim is happy now.
and you say that because of Mir's awesome KO power?
Come on, Jim. The ONLY person Mir KO'd in all his career was Wes Sims (if you don't count big Nog)
To me it sounds like Cro Cop is already making excuses in case he doesn't win...
QUOTE(#5):

I think the opposite.
He is barely noting the reasons he took the fight and why he is fighting even with his eye injury.
he is also manning-up and saying that all the excuses are nothing and that he takes responsibility for going into the fight like this.

Ok here are a few quotes from this interview......
"I will try to do my best, more as routine fight, and if the fight goes to the 3rd round it will be handicap for me"
"Frank Mir is gonna be my toughest fight in my UFC career (great fighter). It wont be easy. It would be easier for me if I had time to do a full preparation cycle"
"I will most certainly go for a win but I think I did a lot just by accepting this fight. Thats my opinion"
"I took this fight to do a favor to UFC. I wouldn???t do that fight for anybody else than UFC. I was on vacation when they called me and I just couldn???t say no to them. Not because of the money (which is pretty decent)"
That to me sounds like he took the fight for the money and doesn't really care if he wins.

BS. that's hater talk.
Cro Co NEVER was one to make excuses.
it maybe raised questions as to why he pick up this fight, and he simply cleared that up.
Fact you are ignoring is this: "I accepted the fight under these conditions."
IMO he is manning up and taking the responsibility for taking a fight on less that perfect conditions.
Besides, he clears up. The money was nice, but he took as a favor to UFC.

Why does he even need to tell us he took the fight as a favor to the UFC? Why tell us he was on vacation?
How is it hater Talk??? I actually like Cro Cop and hope that he wins!!!!!
So if a guy holds out from fighting because he feels he is worth more and then tells us he isn't in it for the money, we are supposed to bellieve he isn't in it for the money?????
Roni back up and look at this article from a neutral point. He is contradicting everything he says. Says he took the fight as a favor not the money then says but the money is real nice! says he will fight to win but if it goes to a 3rd rd he is at a disadvantage..... whe even say this unless you have no intention of trying to win.
QUOTE(#13):
Don't worry, according to Frank, he's been taking his kids to disneyland amd missing some training, so him and Cro Cop can be even. Then there are no excuses.
Hopefully Mir will have his sons poke him in the eye to make things even now.
What a piece of garbage he is. You've got to know when to play the heel, and when to be respectful. Fighting a living legend like Mirko you should show some humility.

that's the thing, Scott.
You forget 2 simple things which I am taking into account:
1) history. he never did it before. So why now?
2) Probably he is answering a question from a reporter. And this is why I think he is answering.
If the question is Why are you taking such a fight with so many odds against you, what do you want him to answer?
he stated the reasons. and none are lies. he is taking in short notice.
Obviously I think (by the statements) that UFC called him and not the other way around and offered the fight. The money was nice but not the reason he took the fight.
And as the bottom line, he assumes responsibility for taking the fight.
So I don't think he is making excuses as much as naming the things that are making this fight harder on him.
I didn't really meant hater, but more... septic (I think that's the word I was looking for)...

I laughed my arse off on that interview. :)
I like Mir, and his sense of humor is great! :)
QUOTE(#19):
septic
I hope I didn't call you a poop related word.... (like sceptik tank)
Ceptic (in portuguese Cetico) means someone who dows not believe in whatever he's been told, and ironically looks for a different reason.
