NFL  > Tennessee Titans  > Vince Young mad about benching? Fire Fisher?
September 21, 2010, 08:21 AM
Thats all I am seeing lately.

Young throws 2 picks and fumbles twice, but yet its the end of the world when Fisher puts Collins in?

Anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

I really dont see Vince as a 'leader' of sorts. Isnt that how this mess all got started at its root cause?

I liked that Fisher immediately quelched the QB controvery fire in his post game press conference. I think that his decision was justified, and I also agree with him reinforcing that VY would be the starter this weekend. At the end of the day, he has to win. I know the QB is unlike any other position, and that pulling a QB can reek havok in the locker room; however, when a RB or WR is turning the ball over, or otherwise ineffective during a game it is easy to find them on the bench. Fisher has been coaching a long time, so I think that he will be able to handle this situation.

I think they (media) are making a big deal out of nothing...

I'll stand by Fisher for pulling Young, 4 turnovers in 10 pass attempts... In hockey even Patrick Roy would be pulled for letting in 4 goals in 10 shots... They were lucky enough the Steelers offense isn't good enough right now or they would have been blown out big time and then it wouldn't have mattered if Young got pulled but if the guy is obviously having issues with the steelers defense and their (Steelers) offense can only score field goals... You have to put in Collins because he is capable, now if your back up is lets say Ryan Fitzpatrick, then of course you stick with Young but if your backup is a 2 time SB starter..why not make the switch?

I think of when McNabb was pulled and he came out MVP style after that, Maybe Young can do the same... BUT NOT THIS WEEK..lol The week after he can do whatever he wants... This week he should suck also..LOL

fisher does not like young. he was forced to put him in last yr by owners and vince did well. he needs to let vince ride out the bad times and not yank him on game 2 of the season. i think fisher need to be fired. the titans need new leadership.... much like dallas!

But comparing Dallas and Titans are two diff things. Lets look at Young and Romo. Romo is a completely inconsistent QB when it comes to games that matter.

Young is just inconsistent period. Romo always has a shot to put his team in the winning column, but he can also single handedly lose a game for you. Young, on the other hand, can be great vs mediocre teams (like the Raiders) but can be poor vs mediocre teams (an offense-less Steelers). Some people may claim that the Steelers D is just too good, but good Qb's will find a way.

They put Collins in and he almost won it for the Titans. Young's 2 Int's, 2 fumbles in one game and less passing yards after 2 games than many QB's have in one is why Fisher doesn't trust Young all the way.

Seriously, after all the drama Vince creates? He claimed he would be the next black QB to win the SB and he will be in the hall of fame. SB grade QB's dont turn the ball over 4 times in one game and no hall of fame QB refuses to go back into a game after getting picked off twice

I agree with Dallas although seeing them lose does not bother me.

But Fisher is one of the best coaches in the NFL, if he were available at least 10 teams would be fighting to sign him.

It really is much ado about nothing, the press has demonized Young for quite awhile now, Collins I am sure has helped him with that, the press wasn't too good to him in the past either. This is just by some hack reporters who are trying to keep a job they should be fired from doing, and write obituaries for a living instead. So every time you hear this nonsense about a rift between Fisher and Young, just keep in mind about hack reporters, trying to make a name for themselves they DO deserve, they are simply a HACK!

Have you looked at VYs stats while you talking?

Best Coach! Are you crazy? I'm sick and tired of people saying he is a good coach, do you know what his record was before Vince Young came to the team? 5-11 and 4-12 then VY came along and cleaned things up! Saves JFs job 3 times already! Besides the 08 year when Chris Johnson got us to the playoffs with his 2000+ rushing yards and over 500+ receiveing yards and also adding he was the top reciever for the team, JF has lost all but one game without VY playing. After the 2008 season people just started stacking the box when VY wasn't on the field! The 09 season until know the Titans have only won 1 game without VY playing in the game and you say VY is the problem! Do some more homework, good coaches win regardless of who is on the roster-check out the Steelers this year lost thier starting QB along with all of thier backup QBs and still came up with a winning season now thats what good coaches do and Jeff Fisher is no where close to that! So you can believe that JF is a good or great coach all you want but all the evidence shows he is garbage!

I am looking for the most obscure threads to bring them back, because frankly, we do not care about on line viewing of sporting events, now if the spam were for some other sporting event, say an -x- rated sporting event, we might care, might.
