NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > 5 points away from 2-0
September 21, 2010, 10:10 AM
Stop turning the ball over! Cleveland has given up at least 10 pionts off of turnovers in the first two games. They have only lost by a combined 5 points in those contests. A little ball security wouldn't guarantee 2-0, but it would certainly help. The good news is that Cleveland has been in position to win games. The bad news is they have a stretch of games coming up that is going to be daunting, to say the least: @ Baltimore, Cinci, Atlanta, @ Pittsburgh, @ New Orleans, Bye (thank God), New England, Jets. The Browns are going to have to play much, much better to continue being in a position to win. Gonna have to dig deep and get nasty...we'll see what they are made of over the next two months.

It's not looking good with the upcoming schedule, but look at least they don't really suck! They are holding their own and maybe they can get some luck (as long as it's not against the Steelers!)

Gonna need a lot of luck if they cannot hold on to the ball. They are not the flashiest team to watch, but they continue to be IN games, even late in the fourth quarter. Could not always say that in recent years. Good luck to ya rocker; I hope Ben in back from suspension for the Browns/Steelers game. Wouldn't want you Steeler fans to have that excuse to use when we win...lol.

Here I am!

I was out on the high seas celebrating my 30th anniversary and missed the first two games. It will take me a while to get caught up. I've got the games recorded, just don't have the time to watch.

It was good seeing the Buckeyes beat up on Miami before going down there to catch my ship.

49ers are 28 points away from being 2-0, but 0-2 we are! Oh well, maybe 7-9 wins the west.

and still make the playoffs as NFC West champs.

The Browns have shown quite a bit of improvement on both sides of the ball but when it comes down to it turnovers lose games. We are 0-2 losing to 2 of the 3 "weakest" teams on our schedule(the bills being the 3rd) for us to win 4 or 5 games this year we will need a bit of luck and to clean up the turnovers.

Welcome back and happy belated anniversary! Too bad the only present the Browns left you was an 0-2 record.

LCBF,That's the Bengal's"stake in the heart"so far, they generate more penalties than most teams inthe 2 games they've played[drive killing penalties that makes 7 into 0 mistakes]so far this year,They better shape up,or Yer team with win more than We will.......

It's early in the season, so mistakes will happen. Cleveland lacks the talent of most teams in the NFL, so they cannot afford to give anything away for free. After a few more weeks, we'll see which teams are improving and which ones are imploding...lot of season, and can't wait for those division match-ups!

That schedule is looking a lot more like 0-9 to me. Yes, the Brownies are better, but not that much better. Do they have a chance? Of course, every team does, but there's also reality here people.

I hope they do get better...Steelers/Browns used to be the best or at least one of the best rivalries in the game.

coach mangina's about 5-more games from gettin ''fired'' !

I hope not...tired of the musical coaches routine...and he's actually moving the team in a positive direction...despite what the record shows...ok, maybe I'm just playing the Homer part, but I'd like to see what he can do over the next 2-3 seasons before they send him on his way.

probably so, but Cleveland will never climb out of the cellar if they change coaching staffs every 2-3 years. The Chin was coaching in Pitt thru a number of crappy seasons, but he finally put together a winning formula. Holmgren def understands the time it takes to build a program--a lasting program.
