Jeff,
good job with the pros and cons. Still need some work and discipline from all. Brookings was hot and COLD. Some real bonehead plays from that veteran. He needs someone to spell him as the season starts to go along.
Kornheiser show here in DC nailed the Cowboys and Chargers as talented teams that don't play up to their potential. I have to agree. Lots of stars, avg performance. That is back to the coaches. The team has potential, need to realize it now, enough talk.
Less penalties and more running and they could be on the other side of .500 right now.

It was a great win and terrific performance all around. They are a talented team. But I'm always going be wondering about this team the rest of the way. I don't trust Wade as a coach.

Brooking is a stout Inside LB...I really do not know why he is playing on Nickle coverage and being asked to cover Tight ends?
Maybe Sean Lee is way to green at this point....but Lee was drafted and whats his face was traded for Barron just for that....so, dunno.
I think the Chargers are not as good as many think...they lost LT, the RB is not proven, they are missing Jackson and Cromartie went to the Jets....so, it could be a bust season for them, costing ol' Norv his job.
We shall see...

I never trusted Wade and I have lost all confidence in Garrett.
Wade is a great Defensive caller...period.
Garrett gets a lot of blame when quite frankly, to the naked eye, looks to be his fault.
Lets think about it for a second...
In the Skins game, we had so many penalties that were on 1st or 2nd down that created lots of 2nd and 3rd and longs...cant quite run from those down and distances.
I will give you the boneheaded end of half fumble, yet, if Choice doesnt try to make something out of nothing and just goes down...the half ends, no one cares...
Hence the risky call and even riskier move made by Choice, leaves egg on the face of Jason Garrett...
Nor was it Garrett's fault that Barron held on that last play costing us the win.
In the Bears game...it was a combo of great run D from the Bears and Romo being a tad off here or there that hurt the O...toss in the missed FG and our pass D sucking and there is loss #2.
In a perfect world, Cowher would be the coach, Wade runs the D and Garrett runs the O...Cowher would demand excellence from all and it would be the "small" things that would get Dallas over the hump.

Bill Parcells couldn't stomach Jerry Jones for very long and landed a better gig in Miami. Jones ego won't allow him to hire anything but a yes man.
That comment has ZERO foundation...
Bill had complete control in Dallas....COMPLETE!
He went to Miami because he was done with coaching and just wanted to build teams.
Bill loves taking on crap teams and building them into winners...good for him.
His leaving Dallas had nothing to do with Jerry.
Plus, look at the people that came from his time in Dallas:
Sean Payton is the Head Coach in New Orleans and is 2-1...Todd Haley is in KC and is 3-0, and Sporano is in Miami at 2-1....
Bill knows talent for sure.

Jerry just wants a "yes" man hence, Switzer, Gailey and Phillips. I'd love to see Cowher in there but I don't think Cowher would take kindly at all to the games that JJ likes to play.
Its comical how something that happened with Jimmy Johnson during the 90's just wont get let go.
Jerry no longer makes SOLE decisions with this team....he hasnt in years.
His son and coaching staff and scouts make those decisions.
He ultimately can veto anything, but if enough people are against him, he will go with the majority.
Hence TO...he has gone on record as saying he wanted to keep him, but in the end, everyone wanted him gone, so he was cut....that is not the behavior of a owner who wants a yes man.
Switzer got JJ's leftovers but Switzer was not a yes man.
Campo and Gailey were unknown coaches who never had dominant personalities...same for Wade...but even Wade has his own stamp on this team.
Brooking, Olshansky and a few others are here because of Wade alone.

You've made some good points but I still view him as Al Davis Jr. right now. And just an FYI, I am no "bandwagon" or "fairweather" fan. I was born in Dallas and have been a lifelong fan. Through the good years and the bad. I think JJ is still not making good decisions on behalf of the team and neither is his son...time for some new blood.
Al Davis is a very unfair comparison...
Jerry Jones has 3 titles since he became the owner...
Al Davis is just a moron.
Dallas only suffered loosing seasons early in the 2000's because they were in salary cap jail from Emmitt, Deion, Troy and Michael's big paydays...
Since then, his son has taken over the cap control of the team and has kept a very competitive product on the field...
New blood might be needed, but at the Head Coaching position...
The playcalling made by Wade and Garrett has been solid.

Dallas was a classy organization when they had Tex Schram/president, Gil Brandt/personnel director and Tom Landry/head coach. Jerry Jones should hire football people and let them make all the personnel decisions. Jerry should just sign the checks.
Dunno brother...if I owned the team, I would want to make decisions on who gets hired etc.
Jerry has made some solid decisions over the years and some not-so-solid ones too...
Because of who he is, he gets more attention for the bad ones than for any good ones....

Jerry Jones and his pal Dan Snyder are two peas in a pod. They are the prototype meddling owners.
Skins get the worst of that dreadful combo. DC HATES Snyder, the callers on the radio just bash that little yard Gnome
