NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > TEXAS SUCKS!!!!

OK not really ... but after reading web blogs for the last 2 days I'm starting to wonder if there are any sane Texas fans. I'm not talking about posts on this goofy site I'm talking about sites set up for and run by Texas fans. Man, it's ugly out there in Longhorn land. Tigers eat their young and evidently Longhorns do too.

No, not really. I have a lot of friends in Texas (I lived there in Dallas for 18 years)....and know a lot of TU fans....a lot can be mean, but some are not (most on here are fairly intelligent and friendly...tho I'm not sure about using sane and JRM in the same sentence?.....lol)

Your boy Bradford, whats stole da' Heisman (XII, NC.. oh whatever...), is looking pretty good in the NFL.

Don't derail my thread, nut-job.

Dr B...he's mad at me for calling him out about bad-mouthing Mack Brown...

Now that's funny right there!

The team will be fine so long as they treat the defeat as a gut check and work that much harder going forward. Not worried about Mack Brown; I'm sure he's had bigger tragedies in his life. If the fans are restless, they don't deserve the Longhorns.

Well said, well said.....only hope the gut check realization is off a week...just saying...

Isn't this the point where "Sam" comes on and says something about Alabama and RTR?

September 28, 2010  06:09 AM ET

I'm overseas again, and won't return until November .. but the UCLA upset of the shorthorns prompts me to at least do a drive-by. My condolences to JRM and the other UTx fans with class. It would have been preferable for them to come into RRSO undefeated, imho. Since the RRSO never is a foregone conclusion irrespective of the records, as usual it has the potential to be a classic CFB game. My Sooners haven't been very impressive in 3 of their 4 wins ...

QUOTE(#12):

Where's doc? How'd Duke do in basketball last season?Seriously, I think a lot of people (me included) had unrealistic expectations for a team with 12 freshman starters. I don't care how talented they are, you gotta allow them a learning curve. I think a 10th consecutive 10-win season for 2010, and serious NC contention in 2011, 2012 and 2013, is about as optimistic as realism allows our expectations to be. And that really ain't so bad.

Outside of OU, is any team remaining on their schedule going to be favored against the Longhorns?

Possibly Nebraska on the road. I think if they were playing this week Texas would be about a 3 point underdog. That could change after this week.

She only posts on TnR.

TEXAS SUCKS!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~
It's a sliding scale actually with a total pooch screw of the season on one end and mediocrity on the other.
I haven't even commented yet, so don't try to pre-derail my derailing...sheesh, what a nut-job!
No, your first comments were correct. Texas S-U-C-K-S. How can a team like Texas, with all of the talent that they recruit, can't beat UCLA. Fire Mack Brown and the whole staff and start anew. Maybe if Texas stops recruiting 5Star athletes and recruits kids that aren't premadonnas, it will be a better team. Team is the key word. Your 5 Star athletes can't play as a team.... To bad.... So sad....
"Fire Mack Brown and the whole staff and start anew ... stop recruiting 5 star athletes ..."
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Change for change sake.
Other Einstein posts I've seen since Black Saturday:
"They should run Gilbert in the option"
"They should run the wildcat with D. J. Monroe at QB"
"Install some zone read plays like they did for Vince Young"
I even saw a post that read "they should run the air-raid offense" (TTech)
The most amusing post I've seen so far:
"Greg Davis (OC) should be given a really big check and open an elite QB-coaching camp in Austin. Mac MacWhorter (OL coach) should be given a smaller check and a bass boat."
