Think we can get a live chat going? Just remember September 30th, live on Versus at 9:00 PM EST.

It was a good card i wonder if any of you guys saw it. Jamie Varner vs. Donald Cerrone was a balls to the wall fight.

WEC fighters need more exposure. I don't know why on earth the WEC hasn't folded into the UFC yet.

Two reasons:

1) Contract with Versus

2) Not enough card space on UFC events. Zuffa would have to put on a show every other week at least to get all these guys fights. They don't want that much free TV to be hampering their PPV dollars.

But the UFC has a stated objective to have 1 event per week.

Both of these seem like superficial reasons to me. If WEC were folding into the UFC, they could simply re-brand the show on Versus. Versus' contract is with Zuffa, so there's no real business change, and they'd be getting a stronger brand on their network. That's a win for Versus.
There is PLENTY of space on the cards for the UFC events. Prelims currently employ plenty of forgettable fighters that aren't ready for this exposure. Eliminate these guys and plug in the lighter guys.
Free TV only enhances the PPV dollars. You give them a taste, and they'll buy. Classic pusherman strategy. Pro wrestling has been operating under this format for years with great success.

Back on track...

Jose Aldo is simply menacing. He looks like he could come through your screen and assault you in your La-Z-Boy.
