1. Steve Young 96.8

2. Tony Romo 95.9

3. Peyton Manning 94.6

4. Kurt Warner 93.6

5. Tom Brady 92.9

6. Phillip Rivers 92.3

7. Joe Montana 92.3

8. Chad Pennington 90.3

9. Ben Roethlisberger 89.7

10. Drew Brees 89.2

So at what point does Romo start getting respect? Look at his passing rating compared to the greats yet hes constantly criticized? His td/int ratio is outstanding. He has played in several pro bowls and has two 4,000 yard seasons? He is on pace to get 5,000 yards this year. If he wins a couple playoff games this year he has to be considered the same category player as Donavan McNabb.

I have been depressed. Well we might be back after the Houston win but we'll see. Don't be discouraged about your start. Thats the Chargers in September. They will go on a long winning streak. Weird how they seem disinterested in the early season. When are you gnna get your receiver who is holding out? You'll make the playoffs but you might need him to go far.

For some reason I am not able to directly answer fans statements? The text isn't coming out? The last comment #5 was to the SD fan Ripper.

Fair question.

I think Romo is highly regarded. I think he will win a championship during his career though I strongly believe it will take a coaching change in big D to get him there.

To be honest it's very hard to be an under appreciated QB since it is a pass wacky league right now. Look at it this way, if they're not saying "This team needs to address its QB position" then take that as a pretty big compliment.

He'll get respect when he wins when it matters. He's not a leader, that's why he can't take them all the way. He's too busy trying to bang chicks instead of trying to win football games.

Well he didn't play golf when the OTAs were going on so maybe his attitude is getting better. I don't think Romo is the only football player chasing hooters and booties. Just ask Wilt Chamberlain and Magic Johnson who won championships?

Romo must be a leader on the team (there is improvement) to get to the next level. When he comes on after a loss and says....."it's just a game" it comes off as aloof. I like the guy and think he is a really good NFL QB, they should try and take more advantage of his mobility and that will improve the Ws and Ls too.

I was worried with his two INTs vs the Bears but he played very well vs Houston. Granted the Texan defense has struggled but he played well. I think Romo will win a SB one year as long as he doesn't turn out to be another Delhome which is a down right strange thing. Didn't Jake take Carolina to the SB? Now hes a bum?

I wonder if Wade is the guy who can get it done myself. He can win games but can he get the team to the next level which involves bringing intensity up a few notches.

When he wins a Superbowl. It isn't fair because he can only control so much, but it's true.

Yea McNabb has gotten alot of grief for having no championships. Thats the barometer. Marino only got recognition because he threw for a million yards.

Yea, but they won championships. Romo can't juggle booty and the ball at the same time.

That and Marino had something about him. He was just a like able guy with great charisma.

That is a very interesting point. It makes me ask a related question about McNabb. What about him is not likable? Does he lack charisma? What aspect of his personality is the one that makes him a pariah to some?

Sorry for getting off topic on a pleasant ATF thread.

Ding Ding Ding!!! A great regular season or QB rating don't mean a hill of beans if you can't win in the Playoffs when it all really matters.

McNabb is plenty likable, even from a Dallas fan. I liked the way he handled the TO situation in Philly. The guy is just Class! Philly fans would have to tell us if he "lost" 4 of those NFC championships or if Philly was just outmatched.

How does Kelley fit into this discussion as a Bill QB and FOUR time loser of the SuperBowl? BOth guys are HOFers

I like McNabb, I think he's a good guy.

Romo is a very good player and until he strings together a few playoff wins or makes a run into the SuperBowl, he will be an afterthough mainly because he is playing for the most recognized team in professional sports and at the most noted position...

I'd rather him keep being beat down...it makes a man work hard.

Tony Romo is a very good QB but needs better protection from the OL. The run blocking is solid but the pass protection has been less than stellar.

Maxwell, not sure if I would give high marks to the O Line for either phase of the game. Pundits say they are better run blockers but you got to give them an opportunity to "get started" and impose their will on the D line......sounds like some sort of Reikke Healing BS to me....just hit em in the mouth!
