NFL  > General NFL  > Giant BEAT DOWN!!!
October 4, 2010, 12:54 AM
We weren't losing on Ring of Honor night but to BEAT DOWN the bears in that fashion ...

10 Sacks ( Knocking 2 QB's out of the game)
Allowed 110 TOTAL yards!!!

Not going to say Big Blue is back, With the energy in the building..Strahan gave the boys a big speech. Coughlin loves using the history of the Giants to motivate and really that's all tonight was about... This was a classic Giants beat down.. Power running, dominate defense... Sadly the Bears were the receiving team of beat down. I hope we can use this momentum on forward...

As for the Bears, It was really special too see Urlacher on the field. Money well spent on Peppers. Lots of respect for the Bears Defense. Was Martz offense exposed or was this just a hot night for the Giants defense? We'll see what happens for both team from here on but it was shocking too see given that this Bears offense beat the Cowboys and stayed toe to toe with the Packers.

Sorry Bear fans... It was Ring of Honor night... no way we were dropping this game!!!

Full respect to the Giants D-line - we were *not* expecting that. I have never witnessed such a poor performance from an NFL team as I saw from the Bears tonight. Cutler hit about thousand times and clearly was playing concussed from early on. He was running out of bounds instead of throwing it away and seemed not to understand that there was a pass rush after him trying to stand in the pocket for 5 or 6 seconds. Full marks to the Giants D-line, missing Kiwanuka as well, wow. Bottom marks to the Bears' O-line and in particular the blocking of Frank Omiyale and TE Greg Olsen, who got Cutler murdered.

After seeing Indy demolish the Giants I assumed we'd do the same, as their defense isn't so hot. And then the Jags beat down the Colts? funny old game.

The world of football is in shock tonight after it was revealed that the Chicago Bears team was murdered in cold blood at the Meadowlands, NJ. Coach Lovie Smith said that the attackers were seen coming, but that nothing could be done to stop them. The police have asked for witnesses to come forward who may have seen 53 predominantly large, black men leaving the stadium grounds in Cadillac Escalades, Porsches, Ferraris and Mercedes SLKs. President Obama spoke out on the issue of quarterback defence and has passed his condolences to the people of Chicago. In a moving speech on local radio stations, he reminded them that they still had a basketball and two baseball teams, and pointed to their recent success as reigning national ice hockey champions. The Chicago Bears were 88.

Now that's football, congrats Giants fans! Wasn't a good weekend for the unbeatens that's for sure.

Nice win, Sam. And you described it accurately. It was a friggin' beat down. Hope Bradshaw's ok. Hope those Bears players are, too. I guess Cutler had a concussion? Seeing a lot of those these days it seems. The NFL is so hard to figure sometimes. You guys looked pretty suspect against Indy, and then this, a complete game shutout, pretty much.Giants O was methodical and got the job done. Other than that, though, not sure if this game said volumes about the Giants' pass rush and run D, or the Bears O-line issues... or all of the above?Sometimes these games just happen to teams, and you try to learn from them the best you can and make some adjustments. I guess that's what the Bears will be trying to do this week.

Thanks Ripper, Chargers did a number on the Cards, They had to pull Derrick Anderson i heard. I have Gates and Rivers on one of my fantasy teams and they alone won me the week..lol

As for the Giants, I'm hoping they can use this win in this fashion to move forward... the schedule doesn't get any easier. I'm still not happy about the red zone offense but we ran the ball well against a very tough LB core for the Bears, so I'll take that. I was upset about the fumble that gave up 3 points, Watching the replay you can see Bradshaw was even watching himself on the big screen and didn't think to protect the ball. It costed the defense from having basicly a "perfect game"...

Congrads Sam...WOWWill any charges be filed?

Thanks.. It's must be rough to watch that but I wouldn't go getting worried thinking the Bears got exposed.. I was at the game and I'm telling you the emotion in the building, I heard about the pre-game speech by Strahan was inspiring... Who ever was in front of us was getting spanked... I really have A LOT of respect for the Bears Defense by seeing them live, This was the first time I ever seen Urlacher live and I was in awe!
