Well it looks like Shane Carwin is fighting in UFC 125 against Roy Nelson. This fight will prove me wrong if Roy can hang with Shane until then Roy is about to get knocked out in the 1st round.

nO WAY Brother....I say shane takes another tumble down the ladder. Roy can take a beating and has a gas tank, AND has the BJJ. Shane has only his hammer hands. Nelson 2nd rnd after carwin gasses

Like I say this fight will prove me wrong about Roy but I don't see Roy out working Shane. I don't think Roy has the strength to use his BJJ against a guy as big as Shane. In MMA I agree anything can happen like getting caught by a punch or slipping and getting submitted.

Yeah I hear he has great BJJ but I have yet to see since going through tuf and joining the ufc. I am curious to see how serious it is against top elite fighters.

I like the heart of Big Country but Shane Carwin will prove to be to big and strong.
Beside what would it say for the state of the UFC HW division If Roy Nelson takes out the just recent # 2 HW in the UFC. If Carwin loses it won't look good.

Watch his fight with Jeff Monson. His BJJ is good there.

I think that Shane will rock him the first round, and may even control on top for that round. Him and Roy have similar punching styles, and though Carwin has more power Roy has better technique (when he chooses to use it.)

I think that we will see a second or third round submission victory from Nelson. I think it will be a RNC, but I can't say for sure.

Still think he won that fight.

I agree.

Carwin wins here. Way too big and powerful. Nelson can take a beating, and he will in this fight, but he will not be able to take Carwin down and use an BJJ. I love Nelson but I cannot see him winning. Also, these cardio issues of Carwin are a litte unfair. The guy threw about 70 punches in 3 minutes and had an adrenaline dump from the magnitude of the fight. Carwin 1st Rd TKO.

I like your style

I agree with most of what you say, with a few deviations (that I think will cost Shane the fight).

1) Nelson's takedown game is VERY underrated. He is really not a whole lot worse than Shane in that department. His BJJ scramble ability is not unlike a Jake Shields. He might not be able to shoot a great double legs a blow you onto your ****, but he can initiate a scramble and end up on top. This is the way that a decent wrestler can get on top of a bigger, better wrestler.

2) I agree, the Lesnar fight was gassing because of how much he threw, but that is his style. He did it against Mir too, once he gets you a little hurt he throws like there is no tomorrow. He can't always get the finish however, and we saw that in the Lesnar fight. He needs to learn when he should explode and when to relax. Plus, no matter how hard you train, those enormous muscles require enormous amounts of oxygen, and his lungs ain't no bigger than anyone else's'.

We'll see what happens, I just think Carwin is too strong and powerful, but this will be a damn good fight.

I agree, I can't wait to see the fight.
