BAYAMON, Puerto Rico - Chris Megaloudis scored his third goal in as many games and Gadiel Figueroa added a late insurance tally to give Puerto Rico a 2-0 victory over the Cayman Islands on Wednesday, sending it to the second round of Digicel Caribbean Cup.

Megaloudis, who scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Anguilla on Saturday, headed in Tyler Wilson's cross in the 25th minute for the only goal Puerto Rico would need.

After Cayman's Mario Rene Carter was ejected in the 72nd minute with his second yellow card, Figueroa tacked on the finale in the 89th, completing a three-game sweep by Puerto Rico and finishing it atop Group A with nine points.

The result earned Puerto Rico a berth in second-round Group E along with host Grenada, Guadeloupe and the winner of Group B October 20-24.

The Cayman Islands finished second with four points, one ahead of Anguilla, which defeated Saint-Martin 2-1 in their final match.

In Kingstown, St. Vincent, Shandel Samuel scored three goals - two a minute apart midway through the first half - to lead St. Vincent and the Grenadines to a 7-0 victory over Montserrat on the opening day of play in Group B.

Damol Francis, Cornelius Stewart, Chad Balcombe and Romano Snagg also scored for St. Vincent, delighting a home crowd of about 5,000 at Victoria Park.

In the earlier Group B game, Gerard Isaac rallied St. Kitts & Nevis with a 62nd-minute goal, earning the "Sugar Boyz" a 1-1 draw with Barbados.

Jeffrey Williams gave the "Bajan Tridents" the lead in the 14th minute.

Montserrat will face Barbados on Friday while St. Vincent will play St. Kitts.
