I don't think Bama has done anything to prove they are a powerhouse, IMO.

Wrong-they charmed everyone pre-season. It matters. A lot.
Wow, the BCS rankings may surprise though. Peeked in at Sagarin and tOSU is 15th there. Not sure what that computer is smoking, but if the other computers concur it could be quite odd when the BCS is released.

WHAAAAAAT?! Seriously?! I'm no Bucks fan, but that's just effin' stupid. Absolutely no way to justify that. That bit of info ALONE should negate that poll from having any part in this already ridiculous process.

Doesn't meam the proved they were a power house.
Kind of like the ding dongs I date.
Looks all good until they open their mouths.

Actually, the Sagarin ratings that are used in the BCS have Ohio St. at 23rd.
The Sagarin Predictor has OSU at 8th and is the best rating system Sagarin offers but the BCS rules won't allow it to be used for fear of being criticized for counting style points.
These things tend to work out toward the end of the season. At this point in the season the Ohio St. schedule has been fairly light.
That's the thing. No one's schedule has been tremendously brutal. Who do they have as #1? Wiat I'll just look.

Let's see...not trying to jump on Bama band wagon...but..
tOSU has played #13 Miami...TCU has played #24 ranked OSwU....BSU has played #24 ranked OSwU....Oregon has played #14 ranked Stanford.
Alabama has played Arkansas (ranked 12), Florida (ranked 22) and SCAR (ranked 10). Personally I think SOME schedules could be painted at brutal while others are.......
Hell, even Miss State has already played two top 10 teams....(Auburn - 7, and LSU - 9).
And the rankings are current.

Okay...and they BARELY beat Ark. Just saying that Im NOT convinced bama deserved number one after that game. But it is what it is.

True, but they are still ranked like a power house in front of several unbeaten teams based on beating ARK and UF teams that may not be as good as first believed.
On the plus side, the SEC just got a whole lot more fun to watch-btwn now and the end of the season there will be a whole bunch of games that appear to feature fairly even teams.
QUOTE(#9):
Okay. WHO has TCU, Boise and Oregon played??????
BSU beat a 4-2 VT and a 3-2 OrSU. Oregon beat Stanford. TCU beat OrSU. All have beaten some other scrubs. BTWN all 4 teams I think BSU has the best resume thus far.

lol!
Bama should be 12th behind all of the undefeated teams and South Carolina.

I won't argue the logic in that statement, but going from #1 to #12 is HARSH! I don't remember ever seeing a drop out of #1 going that low, anybody else?
