NFL  > New York Giants  > Giant BEAT DOWN Part 2: The Return of the Offense!!!
October 10, 2010, 08:46 PM
I felt good about this week only because when I watch the NFL Networks "Playbook" and when Joe, Bill and Sterling are always sure the giants will lose they win, So I hope they pick against the Giants for the rest of the Season, I know Joe will (that guy will never let go the Giants ended his career)

Anyway...

Finally we played a game where all 3 phases worked...

The Bad: There's still turnover issues and they controlled their emotions but there were some flags that were stupid

The Good: The red zone offense came together finally. Given the Texans coverage was some of the worse I ever seen. Nicks pulled in some great catches ( 12 for 130 yards and 2 td's) It should build some confidence. 2 wins without Shaun O'Hara is huge. Eli looked good, he's the ugliest runner EVER but I'll take it (It's like watching a man run on a slip n slide)

The defense kept their momentum from last week, Shut down the leading rusher in the lead to 25 yards and just giving up 195 yards total, which is very impressive! Fewell put up a great game plan and the Players are coming together. Tuck must be thinking the football is a $5.00 foot-long from subway because he's attacking the ball like it.

We are moving forward and still under the radar, The NFC is really a mess right now, which leaves a wide open door for anyone.

The Dallas loss was great (Sorry for them) but our Monday night game in 2weeks should be a classic.

Next comes the Lions, who no doubt scare me because who knows what they can bring.

Keep on Movin G Men !!

Good impressive work by the Giants this weekend. Is all better in the locker room now? Talk 10 days ago about Coughllin Revolution, that passed after two impressive wins? My team is so in the **** that I wonder if we can even see .500 this year. Lordy

Well I can't say the locker room is better but improving...

If the Giants actually make this a season to remember and go all the way, they will tell you the 2 most important games were the loss to the Titans and the turn around vs the Bears. Not because of the game and the 10 sacks but the ring of honor night and the speeches given to the team by Strahan and also Coughlin. Apparently whatever Coughlin told everyone was something along the lines of Herb Brooks locker room speech to the USA hockey team.

Right now the guys are buying it and I hope they still believe in it and take it with them for the rest of the season.

On Jacobs, He is getting why he is being used less. Coughlin wants him healthy come december and hopefully january. What's pissing off Jacobs is of course the bonus checks in incentives in the contract he signed, he won't reach those marks. That's why he was trying stupid stuff like running to the outside and crap because he wants a big runs, he needs the yards... before the past 2 games now, I think someone made him look in a mirror with the word "selfish" written on it! He's not happy still but he is controlling his emotions and playing his role for the team and has played well, even got some td's but he needs to do what is best for the team.

I still don't Coughlin will sign a extention again. The whispers being heard are .. "retirement" .. He wants to finish his contract and Owners will let him as long as he doesn't lose the locker room. He is a great motivator, his discipline stuff is a little harsh but he is a good guy who knows the game better than most give him credit for. However, I still stand by the fact that we need new leadership for the future being a young team still.. I'm not talking about young guys like McDaniels, Haley, Tomlin, Gruden types who are good coaches but they just lack "The Chin" (Hint-Hint)

BG, word of advice...When you beat a team with a winning record ...then type your BS cause Right now I get enough BS from the Fox Network.

Green Bay does not have a winning record...if the season ended right now they would be in the playoffs...and the Giants would not be...the Bears would be the # 2 seed

Sam, when the Giants can show some consistency like the Bears defense does ( the offense is another story), and does not get embarrassed on the score board like you did against the Titans...then crow...

You seemed to have drank the kool aid, and think one game makes a season...when you are in first place...then crow...but the Giants have at least four beatdowns coming before the end of the season still to come...remember this post for late on in the season after the Giants implode...

The Bears are the worst 4-1 team in the NFL but they're still 4-1. People only look at your record and not how ugly the wins were.

That's getting smart..lol Thanks Maxwell!!

BG,

I know it's been a while because maybe you forgot how the playoffs work in the NFL, The Giants would be the 6th seed on your "if the playoffs ended right now" dream.

But I know enough to give your defense some respect but at the same time when faced with a running game they will fail! I know you are blind to this stuff riight now because "it is what it is, you are in first place 4-1"..LOL, being the realist and you the dreamer here's what you fail to see
If you all actually face more average running backs you'll find out what i'm talking about. Remember, the panthers almost ran for 100 yards, without steve smith or a QB. You faced the packers with a backup and 3rd stringers, Lions have a rookie and Dallas are just stupid for not running more because the holes were there.. like the Giants found (who were the best running team you faced so far). Lucky for you guys the best running game you'll face after us won't be in untill the vikings but Seahawks Lynch might be looking for some money???

Your offense is ranked at the bottom of the league for a reason (Sorry, seriously we didn't mean to expose you all) Seriously, You were given the miracle defensive run in 2006! doesn't happen twice, unless they can score 16 points a game themselves.

But you are 4-1..in your dream playoffs in week 5!

Oh... Thanks for making The NY GIANTS the #1 Ranked Defense !!! I sent Cutler flowers!!!
