LSU vs. McNeese state is a cupcake with extra icing. I will give McNeese their props because they represent well for Louisiana's NCAA FCS. They always rank in the top 25.....but so was Appalachian State.............

October 11, 2010  04:43 AM ET

Agree with most your picks.
The only ones I might pick otherwise (win / points):

5. Nebraska vs Texas - Nebraska easily
10. USCe at Kentucky - Sarkalina should win by a bunch
11. Utah at the Cowboys - The Utes by 40+
13. Michigan St. vs Illinois - MSU easily
19. Nevada at Hawaii - Nevada by 3 td's

UGA is dreadful. Even with their remaining soft schedule, they will probably finish 4-8 (5-7 at best).

1. tOSU, tough game on the road, at night, Camp Randal...The Bucks still battle and walk out with a two score win.

1. Ohio St. at 18 WISC Whiskey

As much as I want to say that you're wrong to trust in Bielema's Badgers....I still see this away game for tOSU as a toss up at Camp Randall.

I cannot explain it. But, our offense feels inconsistent to this point. I know that sounds a little silly with all of the points they have put up thus far.

I'll say that if we can scheme to get Heyward, Simon and Williams in position to make most of the stops on the bruising RB Clay, we will likely be solid on D for the day. Clay is big enough to possibly wear down our MLB Rolle (if Rolle winds up making the majority of those stops).

I'm still not 100% sold on our offensive dominance and/or reliability.

I'll take some time tonight or tomorrow to run off my whole slate of picks for the week. If anyone cares to see them. Just needed to satisfy my inner BuckeyeHomer first.

As AA says in his OP, there are some solid matchups this week. Given our results so far, put the UF-MSU game in that category.

And Default, if MSU wins, it ain't an upset.

If you're right. I will admit that the MWC sucks and is the worst conference in CFB. I say AFA by 28.

The defense excels at stopping the run and forcing turnovers. Which plays to the Wisconsin game beautifully.

Also, because of The Badgers offensive scheme, The Bucks will most likely have 8 in the box, with a safety walked up. Man on the outside, free will cover next free out of the gate.

I agree it will be a tough game, but think about this TP has 15 passing touchdowns this years, Whisky has given up 10 passing touchdowns, that plays in TP's favor. For them to stop the pass the will have to drop 5 or 6 to coverage, giving Pryor the choice to run, throw to a check down or audible to a run play. he has control of the offense. It's not going to be a traditional Ohio State I-back field this year..just isnt.

The offense seems to be a work in progress. It's almost as if Tressel has said in teh pre-game prep - "we're not running the ball well so we're going to run-run-run today". Then next week he says - "we need to work on intermediate to deep routes - so we're going to throw the ball deep all day."

By the end of the year, he says "We have it all clicking so NOW we'll kick some booty."
