0-5...So sad 49ers...!!!

You know Alex Smith can't just look good in the last few minutes of a close loss. If he'd played the rest of the game like he did those last two drives (well the 2 before the very last one) then they would have won. Alex you're 0-5 if you're not motivated to play your guts out from the opening whistle there's nothing else to be done with you.

49ers have some nasty weapons on offense. A better QB would make a huge impact.

You're exactly right. You have to give it your all for 4 quarters. It wasn't until the fans were chanting " We want Carr " and Singletary was about to take Smith out of the game did he perk up and throw some of his best passes. Some say he has become lackadaisical because coaching has given him the job and removed competition from the starting job.

Exasperating is the word that best describes the 49ers. In addition to the usual ills, (poor quarterback play and poor coaching) Frank Gore has decided that giving the ball to the other team is acceptable. I don't know who the new quarterbacks coach is now that Johnson has been promoted but, I wish he could convince Alex Smith to move laterally and forward to avoid the rush as opposed to retreating. Nate Clements' putrid attempt at tackling Leshon McCoy on that second down play during the Eagles next to last possession was among the saddest and most telling things about this team. Young Master York can't scrap the season just yet though. There are decisions to be made though. The first is: Luck or Locker. The second is: who can they convince to be the coach when Singletary is booted, presumably at the end of the season.
