At 0-5 Jed York has announced that Alex Smith will be the starting QB. He also announced that the 49ers will win the NFC West. I'll pay for a new 49er stadium if the 49ers win the West only if Jed York is willing to turn over ownership if they don't. Jed tell me if you are willing to put your money were your mouth is?

I think the Niners pull it out this weekend, if not, then I think the Panthers beat them...Bills may never win again...

I think Carolina may not win until later. The Bills and certainly the 9ers have a victory coming. San Fran is beating themselves. If they stop doing that long enough they will win some games. Spotting the Eagles 17 points on turnovers is no way to win.

I would hate to say it but I think that Oakland will beat San Francisco. Why? Well about the best reason I can think of is that Gradkowski has the backing of the team, where as Smith was booed and had the fans chanting "We want Carr". The Raiders are full of momentum after beating the Chargers. The 49ers are dejected, a team that was supposed to win its division is now 3 games out of 1st place. Smith has done everything he could to retain his job, he got down on his knees and begged and even to a substantial pay decrease, my guess is that he took lower pay for guaranteed starting job.

I understand that one of the Chilean miners is a 49er fan. Asked what was more hellish; being stuck 2,000+ feet below the surface of the earth, or knowing the 49ers were 0-5?

York is the "owner", and he's making coaching decisions and predictions? He must be hanging around with Jerry Jones or something.

Buffalo may not win a game.Ralph Wilson needs to hire better people to run this team.Drafting a running back when you already had two quality backs in Lynch and Jackson was absurd.Jim Kelly said they should draft Tebow last year,that would have at least created interest in the team and kept fans in the seats.Maybe next year we will get Mallet or Luck or Locker.Ryan Fitzpatrick is a 3rd string QB

York didn't have to go THAT far, he's got Al Davis just across the bay.

Dont laugh but Singletary might have chosen to take a step back to move forward next year. He had a .500 team and chose to go with two #1 picks on the o line? This is a good thing. Those draftees are only gonna get better. This is how a team rebuilds. I would not give up on Singletary. I think the Niners need a top 5 pick to get a franchise qb and they are on target for just that. You Niner fans want an average 9-7 team or a #1 franchise qb for the future? I see the Niners getting better and still getting a franchise qb possibly by moving up.

Singletary won't be there next year, the local press and fan sites are calling for his head. Madden criticized Singletary's coaching as has Brian Billick. The guy doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach. If York screws up his next head coaching selection the 49ers may end up being blacked out for local games as much as Oakland as the fans chose to discontinue buying season tickets.

The 49ers get their 1st win against the Raiders. The most incredible call from the officials in the game was the intentional grounding call against Alex Smith, its true the ball sailed about 10-15 above the receivers head but for Alex Smith that is a good and average pass, so maybe someone should inform the refs that Smith is just a terrible QB. In the future we should be expecting every incompletion that Smith throws to be called intentional grounding, or maybe he should be arrested for impersonating a professional QB.

I hate to see any team to go winless (unless it's the cowboys) so I hope the Bills and Panthers at least get one.
