NFL  > Minnesota Vikings  > Monday Night Reaction

My first thoughts were "Brett is completely washed up." He couldn't even handle the snap from center. Then finally in the 4th quarter he realized he was embarrassing himself and caught on fire.

Then there was confusion after that second touchdown. Excuse me Chilly, how do you NOT go for 2 in those circumstances? That should be an automatic. Brett then misses the wide open receiver and fails to tie the game.

Jets respond beautifully with a touchdown. Brett responds back but instead of a tie game now they're down by 2.

End of the game in crunch time Brett throws a pick 6. Vikings slide to 1-3 and the Jets are at 4-1 and that 15-1 talk looks pretty accurate at the moment.

Honestly the Vikings, like the Cowboys had a week to prepare and the results were humiliating. The offense looked like it hadn't practiced in 2 weeks. It was only at the end that they finally came alive. But then the coaching staff forgot to coach and didn't have a 2 point play ready. Minnesota fans, don't know what to tell ya.

QUOTE(#4):

Then if Favre hits Harvin 5 yards down field when the Jets brought the house on the last drive he might have been gone. Looked to me like the only ones between Harvin and paydirt was Moss and Cro, and Cro subscribes to the Deion Sanders theory of tackling--avoid it if possible.

I know Ripper...I was stunned that pass went over Harvins head because yeah he would have taken it all the way but it seems Favre ending his night with a pick is how it's always going to end!

That's why I can't be too high on Favre's play at the end. In the last few drives it looked like his arm was about to fall off. His throws were all over the place.

the vikes are in trouble and favre may be in bigger trouble if the NFL finds he's violated the rules according to the claims of that attractive former jets employee that he texted, etc. at least the vikes can cut the cord w/ brett after this season. not all teams are that fortunate that they can dump a poor QB.

I'm in agreement Moss was a good addition to the Vikings and could help turn things around for them, big question is can the team deal with all the distractions or succumb to the onslaught of the media and it's accusations.
