NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Browns Trade Jerome Harrison to Eagles for Mike Bell

Seems like a good move for both clubs. Cleveland gets more of a power runner in Bell, and Philly gets a shifty situational back in Harrison. Harrison has been in the doghouse all year, but I think Philly got the better back.

Hillis is beat up, so I guess this is a good move. Big Bodies = Big Collisions.

Shocking, this one caught me off guard. I hope it isn't just change for the sake of change. His stats don't jump out as being a quality back.

Bell's #'s for last year were
ATT - 172 YDS - 654 YDS/ATT - 3.8 TD's - 5
He's more of a power north/south runner.
LCBF summed it up.....its a better marriage for both parties.

And in '07, '08, & '10 he has a grand total of 35 attempts for 2 yds. per att.

its a good move for us because even if mike bell isnt as good as harrison he will come here motivated. Harrison was looking pretty disinterested since week one. Bell will help this week if he gets in because just like against baltimore, the best way to run the ball on good defenses is right at them. If you try and go side to side they have too much speed, but if you lower your shoulder and try to run through someone your always moving forward.

philly already had shifty/situational with their current 2nd yr RB whose name escapes me...Harrison is a STRONG back & Bell is no replacement for Hillis... Hillis is a BEAST

I don't think the intention is to replace Hillis... it feels like power running is our strategy... it was clear whenever harrison came in that if you could contain him up the middle you just needed to follow him to the outside and stop him as he made the turn. I think Bell is a better fit with Hillis... the change of pace back hasn't consistently worked for the Browns.

Agreed. Bell compliments Hillis' running style and will help shoulder the load so they do not have to rely on Hillis to be the go to guy on every snap. He's been the perverbial "rented mule" so far this year, and Cleveland needs someone that can contribute positive yards other than Hillis.

Bell won't last 3 weeks in Cleveland ...he'll be dinged up faster than you can whistle dixie...does Harrison have durabilty problems?

You gonna bash on Cleveland, and then ask for some info? Look it up.

LOL....

Harrison didn't have durabilty issues because we can't use him in this offense... hard to get hurt on the bench... unless you are Manny Rameriz.
