The hall mark of good UConn temas is their defense. Last year, in abad season, they did not let ANY team score more than 80 points, except for two times. Check out how manyt imes that has happened already htis year. This is not a good sign.
Yesterdsday loss was not a moral victory by any stretch of the imagination. They should have beaten Gonzaga and they should have beaten them by a fair margin. Why on earth did they keep taking three pointers when they were not dropping? (9 for 28????). Why didn't Calhoun order the team to stop shooting those shots and work the clock and take the lay up. I saw none of that but I did see Gonzaga doing exactly that. Driving the ball inside which opened up the the three.
And wherewsa Thabeet? Agin except for afew blocks he was invisible.

I do not have a very good feeling about hytis UCOnn team. No defense and no big man to crash the boards. They may not make the Big Dance again with this kind of performance.
Time wil tell but Calhoun needs to start kicking some serious butt.
