NFL  > General NFL  > Colts punter arrested in Broadripple ...

Broadripple Indiana is a small artsy section of Indianapolis located on the north side of the city. It IS my neighborhood. The streets are lined with pubs and eateries and mom and pop shops. I don'y have all the media fed news yet but apparently the charge is PI.
In this state you don't even have to be breathilized, clear the streets order.
He was shirtless and was alleged to have been swimming in the canal. ewwwwwwwww
Note.it had been raining.... he said he was waiting for a cab, cops offered to call one, he said he would walk home, so the redneck cops arrested him. He was not driving and was waiting for a cab. Some North side wench called the police when she saw him wet and shirtless. REALLY?

Well the NFL has a "call-a-cab" program that will send a luxury vehicle full of amenities and with qualified security to pickup a player no questions asked and free of charge so there's no excuses for this. Hell, the player CAN'T even tip the guys so really.

He supposedly lives in the ripple area. I walk to the bars myself cause I live close. I call it stumbling distance!

Yeah well hence the PI and yes we all have our local watering holes within crawling/stumbling distance but if it's available and FREE should you take the chance? As a player I would have this number in my cell 3rd speed dial after my mom, and my agent - it just makes sense.

i thought the ''call-a-limo'' was only in n.y.c./ n.j. for giants-n-jetts [?]

According to the ESPN report it's a "league" perk for the players' safety. They went into great detail about the vehicles (pretty awesome setup SUVs) and the security is mainly ex-cop types that are obvious weapons trained and crowd control capable. That was my source.

The Colts used to have an alcoholic FG kicker and now their Punter is a drunk. Where do they get those guys?

The bars must be pretty good over there

I feel sorry for the guy. He probably feels totally embarrassed and really stupid right now. But, if that's the dumbest thing he ever does in his life he's ahead of most folks.

It's good to hear from someone who knows what the area is like. My first thought was he was arrested a little quick and now that I heard a little more about the geography and the weather, I definitely think he was arrested early.
