Okay, if Matt Hughes wins against BJ Penn wouldn't that make him a top contender for the belt again? I don't think he can beat GSP but just the thought of him still winning fights at 37 and becoming the next guy to get a title shot is very impressive, especially when people said he was finished after losing to Alves. Matt isn???t slowing down and if he wins against BJ Penn he should be strongly consider for a title fight. Any thoughts??

I think Fitch should fight the winner of Shields vs Kampmann, with Hughes and Condit not far away from title contention.

And I also think Uncle Dana would love to have Matt Hughes fighting for the title again.

As for Alves, he needs to work on his weight problems.

Mike Dolce will fix that.

The funny thing about Dolce is that he's a better dietitian than a fighter :)

By the way, I compare Matt Hughes to Randy right now.

Both are somewhat near to a title shot and, in both cases, the UFC would love to have them such fights.

The difference is that Couture might be looking elsewhere.

Randy thinks hes done with fighting. It would be great for him to fight in starnge match-ups, like the Toney fight. Hughes..hate him, he cant beat top competition anymore.

Almost acroos the board agreed. Alves really has to lean down or make a decision on wieght classes. Condit looked great against Hardy but he needs to beat a Fitch, Alves, or possibly Hughes.

You are right in the fact that Hughes and Couture will still sell tickets almost regardless of who they are fighting.

That Almeida fight was sick, no ifs, ands, or butts.
