The Bears are going to have trouble beating the Redskins. Shanahan knows Cutler like a book and McNaab has always had success in Chicago.

well Cutlers in a hew system and McNabb had that success with the Eagles. I don't know if it's fair to either team to use past performances for two qb's in new systems as a prediction...

October 22, 2010  07:49 PM ET

The game will depend on Chicago's O-Line, Washington's is to good either but Shannahan moves McNabb around, under Martz, Cutler is a sitting duck so the O-Line will probably dictate the outcome of the game.

So......this is the hot spot tonight?

You can certainly base past success with todays success. Maybe McNaab feels comfortable playing in Chicago? And whatever fundamental flaws or traits Cutler has are not going to just disappear because of a new coach or system. A good example is Favre. He's always had a tendency to throw into coverage. every defensive coordinator in the league would always tell his secondary to be alert because 3 or 4 balls are going to come their way. that is a fundamental characteristic that Favre cannot change, that is just the way he is. Shanahan knows Cutlers and he will try and exploit that. Favre also could never win in Dallas, not so much because of the team but he always considered the old stadium a very difficult stadium to throw the ball in. he was always uncomfortable down there.

i agree with that, I'm just saying that sure McNabb might feel comfortable, but he runs a different offense now. Maybe the reason he did so well in Chi-town was that the Eagles system was well-designed against the Bears system. And Cutler has shown this year that he has started to change from his old ways...obviously you can use past success as a good marker, I just think that we shouldn't be too quick to say that about this case, since so much is different about everything...

I think Washington is going to come after Cutler and force him into mistakes. The Redskins D is last in the NFL but they played the Packers very well. They had pressure on Rodgers the whole game. I think they only had 2 sacks but Rodgers was under pressure all game long.

That's been every teams game plan against the Bears this season.
