Ya, I'll call it a season for the 49ers, losing to the Panthers was the worse thing that could have happened and it did. I also put a lot of faith in them this season.. just too bad!!

It doesn't get any worse than this. Clearly Singletary is gone the day their season is over. And Alex Smith won't be resigned. Not that I blame Smith directly for this. He's good enough. It's clearly the coaching staff that bears the brunt of the blame.

I would prefer Mallet or Luck with our 1st rd pick. I feel Locker will be another Alex Smith.

Hopefully we finally ax Smith enough is enough. Most teams would have cut him after 4 yrs. Most of his success is at the end of the games when opposing d's take their foot off the pedal and go into prevent mode. Then each week he has small little of glimmer of hope that persuades the coach/gm to give him one more week.
I do think QB should be our top priority in this draft.
Personally I feel Nate Davis earned the #2 role during preseason, but we're still clinging on to our bust from 6 yrs ago. Now that were pretty close to playing for next year I wouldnt mind seeing him getting signed off our practice squad and given a chance to start a few games. Obviously Carr isnt the answer

Horrible thing about being a Niners fan is that a quarter of the way through the season, I was already thinking, "there's always next YEAR". Making Eddie DeBartolo sell the team really was a death blow. At this point, looking at moving to LA wouldn't shock me.

Their denial is just silly. It's time to start playing for next year. The O-line has been improving they have talent at skill positions. Time for the Niners to start scouting qbs if they want to turn the franchise around.
A big concern I have is that more of our talented players might do the michael lewis thing and demand to be cut/traded. Our managment and ownership showed no backbone in letting him, I don't care how much potential Mays has shown.
