Western Carolina today released its home start times for the upcoming 2007 season of Catamount Football at E.J. Whitmire Stadium/Bob Waters Field. The first two home dates will kickoff at 6:00 pm, with the final three home games scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm, an hour earlier than previous seasons.

Western will host Presbyterian in the 2007 home opener on Saturday, Sept. 22, and Southern Conference-foe, Elon, for Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 6, for the two night contests in Cullowhee with kickoff slated for 6:00 pm.

The Catamounts three remaining home dates will all have 1:00 pm kickoff times as WCU hosts back-to-back home games on Saturday Oct. 20 and 27, as The Citadel visits Whitmire Stadium on Homecoming and Wofford on the latter, with Furman slated to visit Cullowhee to wrap-up the regular season on Nov. 17.

Also, WCU has secured start times for all but two of its six road games, still awaiting word from both Alabama and Georgia. The Catamounts will play night games with 6:00 pm starts at Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 8), at Georgia Southern (Sept. 29) and at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga on Oct. 13. The annual Battle for the Old Mountain Jug against rival Appalachian State in Boone is scheduled for a 3:30 pm kickoff from Kidd Brewer Stadium.
