In my opinion, most women are not all that "into" a man's game, much like I seldom watch womens sports. Most females I know have little understanding of the game or even care to know, and in this case, it appears that she looks at it as nothing more than a business venture that brings in money and security for her immediate family.
This is NOT a "sexist" statement nor was it intended to be, but just life as the way I see it. Granted, there are females who enjoy the game and are knowledgeable, but for the most part, most of them, especially those of her age, care nothing about anything other than it (the team) makes her money. She cares nothing of what fans say or think, because if she did, then changes would have been made long ago.
My wife absolutely hates the game and has tried numerous times to get me to hate it, but that's not going to happen. My sisters "root" for the Cowboys as I do, but they seldom watch them play, nor do they understand any part of the game.
But, that's just my opinion, and it may not be the only one, or even the "right" one.

To be an owner of a professional team, you must have the desire to win...the Bears front office is more concerned about money, and winning is something that if it happens, is good wither way...
But personally I would rather Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell as an owner...that we you would be 10000% sure that the team owners were complete idiots, and we would not have to guess about it...lol
I'm suprised no one has given me any flack about my statements. I mean we do have a winning record so far but the meat of the schedule is ahead and our chances are slim against such competition. Even if 3 of the remaining games are against super injured teams (Packers and Vikings). But in watching this team that seems to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory time after time when ever they get a chance to make a move to control the game. I't pitiful and sad. The just don't have the heart it takes to be a winning team. The must learn that once you get a team on the ropes you tighten it and finish the game. This team however keeps giving the bad guys another and yet another chance when they should be finishing people off. The reason is obvious no killer instinct and Lovie is the problem. He's just too nice of a guy. Great for a friend but not a coach.

I don't think you will catch any flack from any reasonable fans, fair weather fans maybe but most I've seen here are knowledgeable enough to see the things that go on behind the scenes, some prefer to turn a blind eye to it but I haven't and even donated to last years billboard. I even took my name off the season ticket waiting list and stopped buying their merchandise, I still am a Bear fan and always will be and will continue to watch and root for them but until Virginia does what needs to be done this Bear fan will remain a quiet one.
I hope it's the quiet one that catches the GM and new Coach GSH1. lol It is just so frustrating seeing articles like Bears mgmt refuses to see what's right in front of them. or something like that. And these things are true!!! However we as fans are helpless to do anything constructive about it!!! Frustrating so I'm going to watch the Bulls and BlackHawks and not buy a Bears Jersey this year.

I think Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell could do better than the current management team. They'd at least hold people accountable for their incompetence.
plus Sarah could hire some of those Russian NFL stars she can see from here! I've tried and tried but apparently my eyesight isn't good enough!

what do you think of Jerry Jones & Al Davis? ...Jerry Jones thinks he's the headcoach, GM, head scout, QB, center, RB, MLBer & #1 WR & Al Davis's meddling ruined the raydas...... so it really doesn't matter if McCasket is female or not, what matters is that she hires the right people for the right job & then STAY OUT OF THE WAY ...obviously, she knows how to stay out of the way, but her rotten nephews/sons or whatever they are surely aren't hiring FOOTBALL PEOPLE to run their show
I think Jerry Jones is a publicity hound and enjoys the spotlight on HIM. He thinks he's the jack AND master of all trades. I've explained myself on him several times.
As far as the Bears management and owner, all I did was make a statement, and I explained myself. She may have "hired" the right people, to do her bidding, but gathering info from most Bears fans, she and her hierarchy leave a lot to be desired for the success of the team, and she does have the final say, if she so chose to do so.

I think we got Martz because everyone else in the NFL KNEW that it's not possible to install an NFL type of offense and be sucessfull with it in only one year. Thus we got the bottom of the barrell. The guy who was despirate to get back in the NFL who could only get back here. That's why so many people rejected coming here with Lovie because they could see the handwriting on the wall. Yes we have some players but they couldn't overcome the fact that Lovie and any coaches with him would only be here one year. I regret this happening to Tice. I hope he at least gets a good deal from someone who will give him a chance next year whoever it might be. Yes he is the OL coach but you can't get blood from a stone and he still might get them working together yet even if it will be too late (Yes Virginia there is a just God.) for Lovie and his Buddies.

I just wish the Bears mgmt would see the light and make some postitive changes now instead of during the off season. I know we have a winning record and could still win our division. But they are playing like they are going to get Cutler or Forte hurt because of incompetence. I don't know what else they could do,but I'm just showing my frustrations and lack of faith in Lovie. 7-16's of the way through the season and looking at a 6-10 to 7-9 season most probably. They actually will probably win this week and have a 5-3 record at the 1/2. Then the $&!^ is going to hit the fan. We will be very lucky to win more than 1 or two the rest of the season. Maybe I should just shut up and wait and hope for the best because Tice is a good coach and the D is rather effective until they are tired at the end of the games they have had to play so much in, but I've seen this show before and get tired of all the reruns. It's like every 8-12 years we elect a democratic Prez. because we forgot of just what they are like. I'm sorry I didn't forget what losing as a Bear fan was like and don't and didn't need to have the refresher course on BEAR Losing 101. If the Bears were a better team we could beat most of the teams we play in the 2nd 1/2 of this season but I just don't see it happening. Well at least we have all our draft choices and will have a chance of getting some good linemen with them. If JA is told to go elsewhere. Life won't end but it will definately be miserable. Go Bulls and Blackhawks!!!

Now that Romo is injured and probably out for the season expect the same thing to happen to Cutler. Isn't it sad that this has to happen to end Jays pummeling? Can't anything be done before he is hurt so bad? Isn't this the darkest side of the NFL!!! Really it's only a matter of time until he is hurt so bad that he can't play why just because JA and Martz couldn't see how to do their jobs properly!! Although most of this is Lovie's fault for not developing Offensive linemen from within like 42% of the NFL Olinemen are aquired. Really it's in the stats!!!
Total Comments (1555)
42% seems like alot but really if you think about it it just shows how poor of a coach Lovie really is. How many players has Lovie and his buddies developed before this year? 0.0 % !!!!

Does anyone else remember that Ditka changed Thayer (I think) from the DL to the OL?? And then he was superb. What is Lovie's problem in evaluating talent? Or is it his inability to coach them up???

And why does it seem I'm talking to myself? Because I am!!! This is not a way to run a democracy. Please your opinions are important even if you feel like you're in a funk because of the way the Bears are playing. Please writing about it will help us all. It's kind of a health talk group action. lol Jim Harbaugh has been mentioned as a possible coach for next year INTERESTING!!! However the Bears history is with defensive coaches except for a certain tough TE that is more like Butkus than Sayers. The Major will be back when the bye is done!! Yea!! We will get some more of his explosiveness which might help our field position and thus our offense. Everyone wants to know how much extra work the OL is doing compared to the rest of the team. Are they being held after classes and given more extra projects? I don't live in Chicago so I'm counting on someone for an answer. Are Martz and Jay working on their short passing game? Screen passes etc anything to slow down opponent rushers to give Jay a life after football? I'd hope so, if not we should start Basanez instead of jepardizing the next few seasons where Jay could make a difference for the team. Oh, I forgot these coaches won't care about that because they won't be here right. No I didn't forget, but someone higher up in MGMT should be thinking of that I just hope they are. Really though, our Offense only needs to score around 21 points a game and we would be contenders in every game we play. Our D will make sure of that. So what I'm saying is we don't have to be as explosive as the Rams (of The Greatest Show on Turf.) were we just have to score 21 points and let the D DOMINATE!!! Now doesn't that sound soooo--- easy? Go Bears!!!

Lovie Smith is doing a good job in Chicago. The problem is the GM.

Sorry Mensa 185 Lovie is not doing a good job in Chicago. But you do have one thing right in the fact that JA isn''t doing a good job. With a less than 33% keep rate of his draft choices.

Lovie did do a better job in 2011 because he listened to his/our FAB Four coaches this year.
