MMA  > General MMA  > MMA well really the UFC

I must say that the UFC has had a great year in PPV buys and putting together great ufc cards for the fans. Every year the fights are getting better while fighters are evolving more and more with a complete round game. Next year is going to be better for MMA starting out the year with great fights and hopefully its the year where GSP meets Silva in the ring for a huge draw and I am hearing possibly having it at the Cowboys stadium which will be huge. Boxing is taking a huge step back and more people are losing interest. I hope MMA doesn't become like boxing and allow their fighters to hand pick their fighters and cheat the fans out of great cards and fights. Every year MMA fighters are getting paid more and more and will eventually level with boxing pay outs. Any predictions for 2011??

I hope the UFC starts to branch out into more big stadiums.

I think they could draw the 40,000 strong crowds that Pride did if they utilized those arenas like the cowboys one.

Plus, I hope we see more inter-divisional superfights and the addition of a 250+ weight class.

I think when Cain beat Brock it showed that you don't need to be 250+ to win at heavyweight. I also don't think there would be enough competitive fighters at 250+ to field a lot of great fights.

I think Sho gun will beat Evans and Rampage will beat Machida so they will meet up in 2011. I think Cain will get beat by Carwin when they meet in 2011. Gsp and Silva will meet with Silva dominating the fight. Its going to be a great 2011 for MMA.

I agree with your comment, I think the UFC can draw even bigger crowd, they usually sell out at every event. My only concern with the 250+ weight class is will there be enough valid competition to be attractive for the fans. Cain did prove that weight doesn't matter but if Brock was a good striker then weight would be a factor. I am curious to see what the ufc will be like in the next 5-10 yrs and the quality of fighters.
