NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > You know it's over when......
October 31, 2010, 10:15 PM
You know it is over when after ANOTHER loss not ONE Dallas fan comes on and starts a thread about how soon.... or it's gonna turn..... or next week.... or any other self-deluding BS. This team has no heart, the Coach and his staff are weak punks and all need to go, ALL of them.

Watching the Steelers and looking at Tomlin and just see a man in charge of his guys who knows how to lead a team. I just see it in his eyes.

Whiskey-Tango -Foxtrot Jerry!!!????

Crazy there's still half a season left and the Cowboys are done. Where they go from here? Dismantle the team? Putting Romo on IR now will be the right move now, There's really no point to bring him back this season...

I like"primetimes" plan of just lining everyone in front of the fans in texas stadium, Put your hand above everyones head and who ever gets the most booos is done... Not sure anyone will be left though?

watching some of JJ's post game remarks... wouldn't surprise me if the fired wade this week. he sounded like "something" had to be done and talked about the structure of the organization and how this failed season was partly his responsibility too. but it's bad when fans see the players "give up" on themselves.... makes the fans want to give up on the team, as well. certainly the least threads on this team i've seen in a while - says a lot!

Yep, they're done. Almost over cooked. But, sometimes, when one asks for "change", they might want to watch what they ask for, because they just might get it. We certainly got a "change" this year.
If, in my opinion, they continue with this debacle of a season.......say another 3 or 4 games, then they should see what McGee has. But, then on the other hand, the O line would only get him killed, and maybe shaken to the point that he never would be able to showcase himself.
Texas Stadium is no more, Sam......lol........You meant Cowboys Stadium I know, and I'm not trying to be the grammar police here....:-)
I know that I, for one, am disgusted with the play of this team this year, but I will continue to watch them flounder like a fish out of water(Glutton for punishment?). Jerry Jones has a big house cleaning in store, but if next season is not going to happen, he has plenty of time to do it.

He's not going to do that, but I can guarantee you that Wade KNOWS his days are numbered, and hopefully Garrett knows it too. Wade looked so pitiful on NFL Network last evening.

"Poor Poor pitiful me!"....The man has lost the team, and although the players won't admit it, they have no respect for him, nor do they "fear" him. These guys are about the same people they were the last few years, yet they play like they're a pee wee league.....the coaching leaves a lot to be desired.

Jerry Jones could learn a lot from the Rooney family for sure, but he never will. He wants to prove to the world that he's a "coach AND a general manager", which has been an epic fail since the last SB. Yes, he has gathered some talented players, but he keeps getting puppets for coaches. One of these days, he may learn something, but I have my doubts.

One thing was obvious listening to the Q&A outside the locker room after the game - in Jerry's mind only Jerry will be able to figure it out. What an arrogant ****.

Yep he still clearly doesn't get it. I saw something about him offering an apology. The only apology I will accept is him stepping down in the team management front.

The tough part being in Jerry's shoes is having to pay this bonehead for the rest of the season...then we are going into a 90% lockout season.

Having to hire a new coach and pay him during that period is tough.

I think Wade needs to go now, so we can see how the team might rally behind Garrett or DeCamillis...

In the end, he is gone anyway, so it should be done...just dont think because he has millions of dollars that its an easy decision.

Cutting a coach with a guaranteed payday sucks, no matter how much money you make.

I second the stepping down on the mgmt and player personnel front!!!

You know it is over when the media stops talking about your team...definition of insignificant. The media has stopped talking about my Broncos. Even the historic beat down they take at the hand of the Raiders didnt even merit a mention by the national sports media. The Broncos effort in merry olde England simply elicited a comment that the game set future NFL Europe efforts back a few years. The Broncos like the Cowboys are becoming irrelevant...bad bad sign.

Listening to Wade's comments, it's clear he DOESN'T know what to do, (I paraphrase)

"...I'm not sure what do, if I did I would have done it by now..."

Five minutes into the game and Wade already looked lost. Sad really.

Sorry to see the Cowboys in such a terrible state, especially to my friends here who are Cowboy fans, Bullshirt, +40, Sweetcakes, I feel and share your pain and truly hope the changes we hope to see in the future for both teams come to fruition.

Jeff,
Well he is already paying that tool Garrett a boatload of money so he can can (a French dance where you see ladies underwear? WT-Freq?) Garrett and not have to outlay any more cash. If Garrett proves out after 9 more weeks (higly improbable) then Garrett may still be under contract(can't recall the details) so Jones sits and waits to see what happens next fall.

What would alarm me if I were a 'Boys fan were the comments made by the opposing QB after the game.

"They (the defense) didn't seem like they wanted to win. Like they were just going through the motions".

or words to that effect.

This tells me that they think Wade's days are numbered (Whether they are or not, I can't say) and what's the point of pleasing a lame duck?

<b>"Everybody knows we have a lot of talent and that's not the problem. I have talented players and I'm not getting them to play well enough. To me, that's the root of the problem."</b>

Wade Phillips supposedly said this yesterday ^^ in an article called "Jerry Jones Willing To Make Some Hard Choices ??? Just Not Now" on Blogging The Boys. and the author says it's the sounds of a coach trying to fire himself. Interesting to say the least.

As Mr. Jingles has said...I feel for you.

Jerry Jones will need to get an unlisted phone number after this season.

You're assuming he answers his own phone.

My guess is, he doesn't even carry one. He probably has a staff and that's all they do - answer phones.

Thanks Jingles........lol......But, I for one, will continue watching them play regardless. When they get really mediocre, I always have something to do around the house. I've been destroying things like an old mobile home, pump house, storage shed........in my fits of anger......

It's not like this is the first time, so us "old timers" expect this every so often..........lol........and no, those buildings were torn down, and rebuilt, or being rebuilt, and not because of the Cowboys play...........*grins*
