NFL  > General NFL  > Vikings release Randy Moss

Holy Toledo Batman the Viking brass did not like Randy's rant to the media on Sunday.

Oh well maybe the Raiders will pick him up, on second thought maybe not.

Aunt Bee would you say this at a news conference?

"I got fined $25,000 for not speaking to you all. Me, personally, I really don't care," Moss said. "But at the same time, I do answer questions throughout the week. For the league to fine me $25,000, I'm not going to answer any more questions for the rest of this year. If it's going to be an interview, I'm going to conduct [it]. ... I'll ask myself the questions, then give y'all the answers. So from here on out, I'm not answering any more questions for the rest of this season

Mongo think not!

Ah Miss Bee, Mongo would like some of your apple pie!, the apple being option-able.

Kinda figured the Vikes wouldn't appreciate his comments; personally I thought Randy's comments lacked a decent punch line but yeah they were funny. 8~)

I liked how he just went on and on about the Patriots and how he misses 'each and every helmet in that locker room'. Ugh - you get what you ask for I guess!

The article on NFL.com said that he has one day to sign with a new team...does that mean that if nobody picks him up, he is done for the season? I can't think of one team that would welcome him...maybe the Jets?

November 1, 2010  03:38 PM ET

I read the article on NFL.com, and it said that Moss has until today to be claimed off of waivers...I guess his season could be over if nobody claims him? I can't think of one team that would take him (even though the Vikes still have to pay the rest of his salary this year)....maybe the Jets? A free Randy Moss....is it worth it?

Randy moss will get picked up by a desperate team..... perhaps dallas!

It's not like they will have to pay him....this should be interesting...

With all of the injuries to their WRs, I wouldnt mind seeing Peyton throwing him the ball.... WOW that would be NICE

It could be interesting, but Randy doesn't really have much alteration to his route tree (at least he's not willing to deviate much, it seems); not sure that Manning could trust him....now, Eli Manning might want another tall target in NY.

if nothing else, he could stretch the field and make room for Wayne to catch the ball. Then when someone is dumb enough to play man to man on him... deep TD... Manning wont miss. Think about it, Manning has never really had a true speedy deep threat that can over jump up over 90% of the DBs in the league and catch the ball.

I see your point, but it's hard for me to see that Randy Moss existing still....seems like he just doesn't care anymore.

If the Pats claim him off waivers, I will be seriously considering a Belichik conspiracy!

Other way around. Minnesota traded for him just for the Pats game. Now that it's over they can let him go.

Moss will end up somewhere. Buffalo perhaps?

November 1, 2010  04:18 PM ET

let the Rams pick him up, imagine what Bradford could do with an actual deep threat.

Ha! Well, if that's the case, I hope it was worth the draft pick.

After the TO experiment, I doubt Buffalo bites. I wonder who, if anyone, will be willing to take a chance on Moss.

I wouldn't want to risk the progress Bradford has made. He's already got his team behind him - which is amazing for a rookie. Bring Moss in there and... KABLAM!
