CANCUN, Mexico -- Canada and Mexico will square off Tuesday with the winner avoiding a semifinal meeting against the six-time and three time defending champion United States at the CONCACAF Women's World Cup Qualifying tournament. In the opener, already eliminated Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago will face each other for Caribbean bragging rights.

Guyana vs. Trinidad & Tobago, 7 p.m. ET

This will be the first-ever meeting between Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago in the finals of a CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competition.

In its opening two games in Cancun, Guyana has allowed a tournament-high 15 goals (nine in the second half).

In Sunday's 8-0 loss to Canada, Guyana used six players 17-years-old or younger.

Trinidad & Tobago has lost its last five games in the finals of a CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competition (outscored 11-0). Each defeat came against North American opposition.

Trinidad & Tobago has four wins and one draw in five games against Caribbean opposition in the finals of a CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competition.


Mexico vs. Canada, 9:30 p.m. ET

Canada is 4-0-0 against Mexico in the finals of a CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competition (outscoring the Mexicans 13-4). In World Cup qualifying games between them, Canada is 3-0-0 (9 GF, 0 GA).

The Tricolor is unbeaten in its last eight qualifying matches (including FIFA playoffs) on Mexican soil.

Mexico's Maribel Dominguez is the finals' second-leading scorer with five goals.

Mexico has lost all seven games against North American opposition in World Cup qualifying (outscored 35-0).

Since winning the CONCACAF women's title in 1998, Canada has won seven and lost four in the finals of CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competitions (42 GF, 11 GA).

Canada has won three of its last four games in the finals of CONCACAF women's championship/World Cup qualifying competition by shutout.
