I think that it is great for the league. As a fan, I enjoy the fact that nobody is undefeated, and nobody is safe. There is a great young crop of QBs that are stepping up this year, and the injury bug has also helped level the playing field to some degree. Even teams that are not winning ball games are still for the most part competing each and every week. It's a shame that there could be a lock-out next year.

I also like and think it's a good thing, although there is some teams starting to emerge as a force there is no undefeated teams and there is no give me games with all teams being competitive enough if teams underestimate or don't bring their A-game they could go down in defeat. I'm hopeful a new CBA get's voted in and there is NFL next year but who knows at this point both sides are taking a hard line stance and look to be bracing for a fight.
I know one thing, my picks have only looked good once, maybe twice, all year. It's hell picking a winner these days lol.

There has been 27 teams that have reached halfway point with .500 or below record & made playoffs, since 2000. Given those numbers I would say all but a handful of teams could still make the playoffs this season, it's not how you begin the season but how you finish it.

LOL..........imagine the Vegas odds-makers, not an easy task by any means.

It is clear that turnovers and penalties seem to be the difference this year. I see more picks, fumbles, flags, and dropped passes this year. I don't have actual numbers but it seems above average for this time of year. I think the steady, well paced teams will end up in the SB. The teams that improve every week. (chiefs, raiders, rams) I will include the Colts in this as well. Injury should not have to be a factor if you have a game plan and execute it. (Packers, Colts)As for the Teams whom perform poorly, they will continue to mount up the penalties and turn overs. The way I see it the AFC is the toughest to beat. A shoot out between Manning, Brady, Rothlesburger. The NFC will probably end up being very average with the Saints, giants and Packers eventually pulling away.
Fundamental football, eliminate the mistakes and get back to basics, penalties and turnovers can absolutely kill a team.
I think there's conspiracies going on, if you ask me..........:-)
But, it's all good.

Oh no we just got rid of one conspiracy theorist.............LOL
I think that the KC Chiefs are going to give a lot of teams headaches for the rest of the season. The way they run the ball will be very advantagious going into the colder months, and their defense continues to play well. I'm very interested to see how they do during the second half of the season.

lol,....i have a weekly-pool with spreads every week, i'm lucky i get half of the games correct each week !......there's no consistancy [each week] from most teams .
I hear ya. I'm picking right about 56-57% of games correctly, so far. Good buy trip to Vegas!

I was only funnin' about the conspiracies, but we all know that the Cowboys, Chargers, 49'ers, and several other teams are better than what their record shows. This parity thing would suggest that there's a skunk in the woodpile tho.
Just saying.

I know Low it's been hell trying to play pools this year, I think i had like 5 right last week after picking in a pool with the spreads.....I do like the fact that any week it seems that any team, can beat any other team. Makes watching the games much more exciting, at least to me anyway

Yea but the skunk would have to be at the top of the organization or you would think so anyway, I don't see J.J. throwing any games especially with the big dance being in his building.
The Chargers always seem to start slow but usually finish strong it's their M.O.
The Niners I'm not sure about, I really expected them to do better, I do think they had some inside trouble.

yes the games are more exciting unless it is your team. I yell and clap a lot during the game, so if it's real close I end up making a lot of noise and my dog goes to the kitchen because I hoot and holler. He gives me a look like........Really?
At least you didn't have to twinkle your nose last night Samantha. :-)

Try living in a subdivision with close neighbors, they probably all think I'm nuts on game day, especially when the windows are open.........LOL.........they probably think I have a foul mouth as well as being crazy!
