NFL  > General NFL  > Jerry Jones, New Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys?
November 3, 2010, 02:42 PM
To quote Jerry Jones.......

"There???s no question that I have the plan and executing it to have the best players and the best coaching that we can have."

Uh, yes. Okay. Note the word "I", in that he, Jerry, has the plan and is executing it.......by firing squad or lethal injection?
Best coaching that you can have? Okay......so far a 1-6 record, halfway through the season. Good job.

"You can tell by the way some of the things that we???ve done to certainly make the Cowboys everything you want them to be, you should be able to tell that I won???t rest until we???ve figured some things out to get us in a different spot. ??? What it is, I don???t have that."

But, we as fans can tell by the things that's been done, and they're certainly NOT what we want them to be. You want them in a different "spot"? But yet, you don't have that? No wonder the 'Boys have a 1-6 record right now. They have no clue as to what you're talking about.

"You all know that I am not in any way for making changes, I have always thought our best chance to win, when you???ve got three-day weeks and you???ve got to get ready to go to play a team, the best chance to win was to continue to be coached and continue to do some of the same things. There???s not enough time to change."

That's a crock of crap.Your best chance to win was in 07, with the 13-3 record that should have been 15-1. That was with the majority of Bill Parcell's team. Three day weeks? What happened to the other 4? So, Monday through Thursday are off days? You're saying the best chance to win is with Wade and company? Win what? Certainly not football games. Continue to do the same things.....such as mistakes, penalties, boneheaded plays.......good answer. You have a half season left....not enough time to change?

Do this Jerry. Fire Wade and Garrett. Elect yourself as HC and OC and since you fancy yourself as those. Here's a golden opportunity to prove it.

Yes, I copied and pasted his quotes from some forum I found. The guy said he loves Jerry's quotes because they're like trying to work out a puzzle.

I like the line about how he could get people to wait in line to sniff the cracker that Aikman took a crap on!

Ok no more pot shots at the 'Boys" but I can still keep shooting at JJ right?
:-)

ha ha ! JJ is like Davis, it`s only wrong when you DON`T make fun of them.

Ahhhh True enough......You think JJ will just walk over at like the beginning of the second quarter during one of these games and push Wade out of the way and start calling plays and stomping up and down the sidelines??

November 3, 2010  04:04 PM ET

Three days to get ready? Should be four.

One day to travel to where ever they're playing. (50% of the time).

One day to play.

One day off for the players (usually Monday)

Dallas has the talent (yes, I know you Cowboy fans are tired of hearing that, but it's true) it's bad coaching. Penalties and turnovers are things that can be fixed at the coaching level via hiring refs during practice and focusing more on protecting the ball.

What would bother me if I were a 'Boys fan was the fact that my team lacks heart. You can't coach that.

November 3, 2010  04:06 PM ET

Nah, that would take him out of the comfort of his box seat, he saves that for the end of the games when they are close, to run up and down the sidelines clapping, and no I don't mean booty clapping.

I think he is already doing it from his luxury box.

Cussword, what about your chiefs?? Man they look pretty damn good so far....

if you have seen all of their games you can see a lot of problems, but they do look great on the highlight shows !The running game is great, and there is improvement throughout the team, and thats great, but I`m still not sure how far they can go, and I am happy with how good they are doing.

One has to learn to crawl before they can walk, and it looks like the Chiefs are pulling themselves up to the coffee table finally...........good luck!

I didn`t know where Haley was from, but with good coordinators he`ll do good weather he is good or not.

He was with the Cowboys before going to the Chiefs. He and T.O. were at odds with each other, and then when Haley left for KC, Owens went to grinning like a jack a.$.$. eating briars.
