if you go through the philies line up, you have to think about the players there not going to move, and that they can move to make room to sign a big time free agent
Howard: not going to move
Utley: not going to move
Rollins: not going to move
Polonco: not going to move
Ruiz: not going to move
Ibanez: too old, and too expensive for another team to want so hes not going to move
Halladay: not going to move
Hammels: not going to move
Oswalt: not going to move
so that leaves the phillies with two people that they can move
Shane Victorino
and
Joe Blanton
Both just signed 3 year deals so with them coming off the books it could free up some space for a guy like Jayson Werth, or Maggalio Ordonez... with victorino leaving that means we would need a centerfielder Jayson Werth would solve that problem, but if not, that means that Ben Francisco and Dominic Brown would platoon in Center field

I've always liked Ordonez, good player but, he will be 37 and made $17M last year and seems to get injured alot, not sure he will make it a whole season. Werth is may be less expensive and had some good numbers..

it seems very unlikley that the phillies sign werth, and Ordonez did have some injury problems last year, but can still swing it with the best of them, and charlie would have to monitor that situation if the phillies were to sign him.. hes a great hitter and does not play a bad right field
