NFL  > General NFL  > OK, today is going to be different!! The new era of Jason Garrett begins.....
November 14, 2010, 04:08 PM
OK, with a 1615 kick off time, I have a few more minutes to prepare both mentally and physically. I have gotten rid of all things "Wade", dyed my hair Ginger, had my wife apply freckles recklessly across my pale skin. Bought new Dallas Cowboy apparel and can sense in my bones today is the dawning of a "new age". This will be different! Jenkins will hit, Ware will get to the QB and not go 1 yard too deep. The offensive line will find someone to block, Barber will not pound the ground 2 yrds beyond the line of scrimmage and get up like he ripped off a 55 yarder, Kitna will be mobile, Newman will pick a ball, Brookings will cover in a dime package. The list goes on!

Who's with me!?

Is that burning wires.... maybe a transformer?

Right now the score is 26-6, Dallas so you're right about today anyway. Whether it's a new era or just a fresh breeze we'll have to wait and see.

Blood, it is just a fresh breeze....I'm just happy that it is not an embarrassment like last week. Giants are trying to gain momentum and getting pretty close.

+40 even though you wanted to see the Vikes beat the Bears today, I'm still pulling for the Cowboys to take this one. :-)

Oh, I know what that smell is.... it's the smell of an UPSET!!!

YGTBSM! When I wrote the crap above at 1600 I had no idea. Well done Garrett, now go kick the crap out of them one more week.

GSH,
I love Urlacher, I love Ditka and the Bear's history, Sweetness, Singletary lots of your guys but I can't stomach Cutler. He has zero accountability with the press (my only glimpse of him) and I am big on integrity and accountability.
I hear stuff about his diabetes (regrettable but a fact of life for him) and if that keeps him from playing better then he needs a different line of work. His team shouldn't suffer from his mood swings and diabetes

It's just one game, but I liked what I saw, for the most part.

Unexpected? Yes. Surprised? Yes. Happy? YES!........lol (Sorry Sam, but we REALLY needed this game!)
One game at a time. I don't expect playoffs, but I do expect EFFORT in each and every game, and I believe they may just do that now.

Your certainly entitled your opinion, I don't know him personally and refuse to judge someone due to what's written in the media by the media in order sell stories.

I don't like him because he's a yappy malcontent that always looks so effing smug. He has also accomplished nothing in his career besides being talked about and compared to Favre.

The Bears would have been better off keeping Orton and investing in some real WRs. Knox looks legit, but no one else on that team is scary at all. Forte is their leading receiver because the rest of their corp cannot be trusted to take the game into their hands. The game today wasn't terrible, but you can only make something out of nothing for so long (and honestly the Vikings are a shell of a team).

Bears will struggle with their remaining schedule. Called it here. (and I'm by no means the first).
