My Picks:
Fresno St. at (3) Boise St. - BSU by 10
Mississippi at (5) LSU - LSU by 21
(6) Wisconsin at Michigan - Will call an upset, MICH by 2 after WISC believes own press clippings
(7) Stanford at California - CAL is exhausted, Stanford by 14
(8) Ohio St. at (21) Iowa - Iowa in a mild upset by 7
(9) Nebraska at (18) Texas A&M - TAMU's new QB on back a lot, NEB by 10
Georgia St. at (10) Alabama - Bama by 60, seriously a I-AA in NOV?
Purdue at (11) Michigan St. - MSU by 28
(12) Oklahoma St. at Kansas - OSU by 21
(13) Arkansas at (22) Mississippi St. - ARK by 14
(14) Virginia Tech at (24) Miami (FL) - VT by 7, QB play will be the difference
(15) Missouri at Iowa St. - Missouri by 10
(16) Oklahoma at Baylor - OU by 14
Troy at (17) South Carolina - USCe by 28
New Mexico St. at (19) Nevada - Nevada by 35
(20) USC at Oregon St. - OSU at home by 3
(25) Utah at San Diego St. - SDSU by 10-either way this game goes TCU is screwed....
Other notables:
UCLA at UW - UCLA by 7
Pitt at USF - Evil Pitt by 7
UNC at NC State - NC State by 10
TENN at Vandy - Want to call Vandy but can't. TENN by 10 in the state of TENN
Big Game is always a crap shoot, no matter what the team's records are. Cal at home has been a tough out all year, as Oregon will now attest. I wouldn't place a money bet on this game, especially after last year. I'm sure Harbaugh hasn't forgotten how he was outcoached then, so I hope he has a chance to pour it on this year. But I'm doubtful. Stanford by 3.
Oh yeah, how come no one ever talks about how disruptive these Thursday night games are? UW is actually asking people to stay home on Thursday because they anticipate the parking situation to be a mess. That's what happens when you double book/sell the parking spaces on a work day and schedule the start time in the middle of rush hour in a major metro area. Asking the faculty to cancel classes and give up their parking late in the quarter is not sitting well with a lot of folks. I have a feeling UW will never play another Thursday night game. As for the game itself... it will be windy and rainy on Thursday, which should favor UW. Neuheisel's return will fire up the boys too. But I still think UCLA takes it by 10.
... and for the game of the week:
Nebraska over the A&M Corps of CapriPants by 13
Fresno St. at (3) Boise St. Friday Night Lights BSU without doubt
Mississippi at (5) LSU you kidding?? LUS
(6) Wisconsin at Michigan Whiskey again
(7) Stanford at California Stanford by a landslide
(8) Ohio St. at (21) Iowa IOWA
(9) Nebraska at (18) Texas A&M : Game of the week with TAMU in it, who knew? Hmmm...TAMU
Georgia St. at (10) Alabama Thursday Night Game...Bama
Purdue at (11) Michigan St. MSU going away
(12) Oklahoma St. at Kansas Okie Lite...dammit
(13) Arkansas at (22) Mississippi St. gotta go with the boys....STATE
(14) Virginia Tech at (24) Miami (FL) Da U
(15) Missouri at Iowa St. Mizz
(16) Oklahoma at Baylor OU baby
Troy at (17) South Carolina SCAR
New Mexico St. at (19) Nevada Nevada...getting ready for the Broncos
(20) USC at Oregon St. U$C
(25) Utah at San Diego St. - Upset fever baby.... SDSU...Utah going down hill fast
Other notables:
UCLA at UW Thursday special-loser misses a bowl UCLA pulls it out
Pitt at USF USF
UNC at NC State UNC Wolfpack
TENN at Vandy UTn....coming back

(14) Virginia Tech at (24) Miami (FL) -- VTech
You hoping, huh? LOL

Miami's QB situation is less than ideal...
Thanks for picking Cal Tnerb! How can I return the favor? Preferably after I've had a scotch or two...
QUOTE(#11):
Hehe, sorry. But if its any consolation, my picks have definitely not been drawing comparisons to Kreskin.
I know, you've mentioned that before. Mine aren't much better so my offer wouldn't be of much help. Besides, I like BSU and wouldn't pick against them anyway.

Pretty much.
Some great picks, Armpit. And I pretty much agree with them all.
The only thing I don't agree with is that there's not to much to get excited over this week.
This will be another 'Saturday in the Fall'. So, to me, that triumphs every other day of the year!
I don't think LSU will cover the spread. They always play to their competition and this game will be no different.
The offensive production against ULM was poor once again coming off a solid performanceagainst Bama the week previous. Were they looking ahead to Nutt and the Black Bears? Maybe. Bot there's no excuse for substandard QB play against a Sunbelt team.
The defense and special teams once again sealed the deal with the bengals capitalizing on 5 Warhawk turnovers.
Look for Nutt to go deep into his bag of tricks against the Tigers and keep in mind that he has defeated LSU three years in a row. AR, MS, MS.
We'll see if the Tigers will be up to the game with the incentive of a Sugar Bowl birth on the line. Otherwise expect a 10-13 point margin of victory by the Tigers in Death Valley.

Yah, a so-so CFB day does trump pretty much every other sports day of the year....

Hope your D-Line gets some rest so they can pressure Mallet next week.
I'll take the better ranked team except--
Cal over Stanford
Iowa over tOSU
Miami over VT
Iowa St. over Missouri
* OreSt over USC *
SDSU over Utah
Others- UCLA, Pitt, NCSt, UTK
* OreSt hit rock-botttom last week, but Mike Riley can motivate. At Corvallis in 2008 the Rodgers brothers ruined USC's otherwise perfect season. This time the brothers face a much less formidable USC team. OreSt is fighting for a chance to go to a bowl game, USC is going nowhere. The Trojans are oh-fer in their last four trips to the state of Oregon. OreSt by a field goal in the mud.
