Contraction is not likely simply due to the fact that the teams in smaller markets have a mountain of debt and nobody is going to not only pay off their debt, but then also give the owner a couple hundred million or so. The only way is to divide up the money between owners and players in a manner more suitable for the owners...the players, if they want those fat paychecks to keep rolling in, are going to have to submit.

The players will bark up a storm ... until the paychecks stop coming in.

why does cleveland not deserve a team? the cavs are horrible and we go see games while the heat are great and they can't sell the place out. i dont understand. the fans are too loyal?

Sacramento Kings to Las Vegas.... Call them the Las Vegas Kings, which would be appropriate and this would remove a team from the state of California...which by the way have too many, and up north, they already have the Golden State Warriors.

No major sport wants a team in Vegas. The aura of gambling makes everything suspect.

The Hornets to Seattle. The Hornets aren't getting the fans in the seats and Stern wants a team back in Seattle. So kind of makes sense. I think the Portland Trailblazers should move to Las Vegas and be called the Las Vegas Gamblers.

Didn't realize you were such an expert on an opinionated site. Last I checked, we are all entitled to our opinion as you are entitled to disagree. But telling a participant on this site to **** isn't only childish, but takes away any credibility on your part. If you disagree with any fannation member on any topic, then debate with that member rather than toss out insults. You will get more respect in that manner.

Sure the Maloofs own a bunch of hotels in Vegas, that's no reason to rob North staters of their team.

People in Vegas can root for the Suns, or the Lakers, or the Clippers, or the Jazz for that matter.

I have no problem throwing down with you, however I'm not passionate enough to stand by the idea of why calling a team the Las Vegas Kings is a good idea or not. If I were however, I would have already brought that up as a throw down, so I'm already ahead of you on that. Naming a team the Las Vegas Kings was only an idea that ran through my mind, nothing to take so seriously as you did. I mean, if this runs your emotions high, try a different type of medication. I like the idea of giving a team back to Seattle. I think they learned their lesson

Memphis isn't getting the team support they thought they would but it would be hard to move it to another city without surveying the landscape of the what the fan support would be...Seattle might be a place to start..
