I would drink if I had to deal with Al Davis everyday
QUOTE:
Apparently on friday nights (Designated "D-Line Night") the defensive front goes out and has a good time. Every D-Line night the Quarterback (and supposed leader of the team) joins them and consumes more alcohol than anyone else! So during the days leading to a game when he should be preparing for defenses and setting a positive example...he's going out and getting SMASHED with the defense....BUST BUST BUST! its hard to put throws where they need to be when your body is still trying to get back to neutral....at least it explains the gaudy sunglasses he's been wearing to interviews.
Oh Noz!! he drinks..

#1 is the hands down winner..
Is this supposed to be something the Raiders have always done (recently), or is it just Jamarcus that comes along and drinks more than them? Is this like a tradition?
I always assumed it was the entire Raiders team that went out and tried to see who could out drink everyone else. Of course, I also figured it was on Saturday night.

Yay! Today has been a roll for me
i guess its just usually for the defensive line, since their jobs are a little simpler (rush/contain). What i was told is that the other players were sort of shocked he was coming out and then even more shocked that he was getting so wasted. Its not a shock he drinks, he's young, rich, and Infamous...but he's also collecting a major salary for mediocre play and a lax work ethic. Rich Gannon said it the other day, jamarcus takes days off when no leader should. I wasn't able to ask about his drinking habits on other days, but i was under the impression that he is excessive.
Maybe its b/c of the working environment or the losing in general...i'm just peeved i have to watch him suck it up on sundays while i have my beer b/c he wont stop thinking he's at LSU
Raider fan till I die.... J Russell sucks *** He`s more worried about his bling in his ear or his checkbook. He`s not a leader he sucks. LSU played a mediocre Norte dame school in that bowl game and made him famous. With all that talent around him, I could have been starting QB at LSU. Get rid of him he`s a scrub.............

We should of got Brady Quin! Russell is layback and Lacks leadership.

Yeah, OK I personally wish he would of went anywhere besides the Bvtt Pirates. As soon as the Raiders picked him I was like Oh Nohz!!! If he would of went to any other team with a good WR core, a O-Line that could block, and a consistant Offensive scheme yeah he'd be a force to be reconned with. Oh, Well typical Raiders only thing they are smashing, and bashing is the careers of some young good football players. Also, if they would have a coach to transition them from college to NFL then you'd see alot more progress than just chunking him into the dawgs. Russell has the best arm talent in the NFL, and would be a beast to have on any other team.

Yeah ya'll should of picked Quinn, and why do ya'll think Russell held out to get the top dollar. He knew what he was getting into with the Raiders.

I dont know if he is a drunk, but I cant help but notice the guy is getting fatter by the week. He looks like a lineman more than a QB and he takes a sack like a submissive dog.
It cant be easy as a young QB to be in a screwed up Organization like the Raiders but he sure isnt showing any effort. Take notes from Matt Ryan, Flacco and Matt Cassell.

JR was handled with kid gloves by Kiffin. How could he have been 'transitioned' any better? Perhaps if he had ended up on a team like the Steelers the way big Ben had then his team could have won in spite of him. That, however, is not common for a QB pick at his level; obviously he's going to a bottom feeder which is why he was selected so high. The WRs and OL are not the only problems. JR is painfully inaccurate at times even when his protection holds. He has poor pocket awareness and takes too many sacks and can be almost counted on to fumble when hit. A super powerful arm is meaningless if you dion't have the awareness, intelligence and accuracy to go along with it. Al should know this by now considering his history of collecting strong-armed, mediocre field generals. Once in awhile he will stumble onto someone like Stabler, Plunkett and Gannon, but unfortunately that is rare with him. I fear JR is just another strong armed wasted pick. As to drinking - Stabler and company were known for getting trashed the night before games but they still won anyway. The difference is that you do not have that luxury if you are a noob and you are not too good. Bling does not equate to talent.
As a Raider fan I never wanted to take JR! We should have taken Joe Thomas - he was the only one worthy of being #1.
But this could also explain why our DL has been so **** also.
