Mongo want to compound issues!

only one I disagree with is Giants over Philly. But really they are both tough teams so it's a 50/50 even for me. I lean towards Philly due to a stronger offense.

November 17, 2010  05:29 PM ET

I think Pittsburgh will steamroll Oakland (or should) because of the fact they lost last week to NE. Oakland is getting better, but not quite there yet.
I doubt the Vikings will beat GB either, but you never know.
If the Eagles, and Vick, play like they did last game, the Giants are going to be having problems. 2nd half swoon again?

Otherwise, the rest of your picks I'd agree with.

Bears should beat Miami if Cutler protects the ball.
Don't see how the Vikings can beat the Packers, they will have to be a different team than they have been in order to do so.
Philly over the Giants.
New England over Indy
Pittsburgh destroys the Raiders

BGD: altogether a pretty good lineup....couple of games I think go differently:

WASH>TENN.....pissed off/well paid McNabb plays like $$
GB>MN..............Rodgers play just too much to overcome
PITT>OAK..........Raiders WONT run against Steelers D and Campbell is NOT Brady
JAX>CLE............maybe I'm wrong, but this game isn't against a recent SB winner
DEN>SD............The ponies looked good against the Chiefs last week, Rivers falls short

So, your picking the Giants over the Eagles because the Giants got embarrassed by the Cowboys last week? I don't get it. That ranks right up there with someone picking a team because they're desperate for a win. The fact is, desperate teams are desperate for a reason, just as the Giants were embarrassed for a reason. They continue to have problems with turnovers. Their secondary didn't get the job done. Their vaunted pass rush fizzled out. Kitna threw for over 300 yards against them. Look, this is football, so any given Sunday is a real thing. So, of course the Giants have a real shot at getting a win. Unless they stop turning the ball over (the Eagles have been really good at forcing turnovers this season), and unless their secondary really steps up their game, I just don't see it happening. The Eagles simply have too many offensive weapons. If the Giants blitz too much, then they play into the hands of an Eagles team that loves to use screen passes. If they use a LB or safety to spy Vick, then they're taking a guy out of coverage and forcing their secondary to defend against an explosive receiving corps short-handed. Even then, there's no guarantee the spy can keep up with Vick. Landry couldn't. If the Giants drop their safeties back to play deep (like the Redskins did after getting burned on the opening play), then they open up the middle of the field, which allows the Eagles to gut them with intermediate passes set up to allow the receivers to get some nice runs in after the catch. The Giants best strategy is to slow down the game. Run the ball, run the ball, and run the ball some more. Use up a lot of time and keep the Eagles offense off the field and keep them from getting in a groove.

BB picks the Giants..lol Now I'm really worried!!!

Not that all the games aren't important but there's 4 major ones i'm very excited to see..

Packers vs Vikings: These games have always been great even before the whole Favre thing But given this is the Vikings season right here. Favre's final game at lambeau (Yes I really believe him this time) This game has a lot of juice to it then ever before. Packers have been my Superbowl pick since the season started so I have to pick them every week, Except week 16 of course..lol Even with Rice activated I don't know if the Vikings will have enough but I won't be shocked if Favre has one more magic game though. Packers by 10

Steelers vs Raiders: When was the last time you can say the Steelers vs Raiders was one of the games of the week....1979? Last year the Steelers should have rolled over them but it just turned out to be one ofthe games of the year and a shocking Raiders win. This year the Raiders are a better team and the Steelers are who they always are but just injury ridden again for the second half of the season. I think this game falls on Jason Campbell shoulder. This is the game that should define his career, I always liked the kid and always felt he got a raw deal with the Redskins. He has a great running game, a nice young and strong O-line, He should have a good time vs the Steelers secondary. Although I don't think the Steelers pass rush isn't going to show him the respect they seem to give to Brady. I don't think the steelers will lay an egg like they did with the Pats but I picked McFadden on my fantasy teams for a reason and it's paying off. Even though you never start aRB vs the Steelers in fantasy world, I got that feeling he can make something happen in this game. Raiders by 3

Pats vs Colts: Brady vs Manning, Just that simple!!! Manning by 7

Giants vs Eagles: Another primetime game with Vick centre stage doesn't bold real well for my Giants. Vick is playing some amazing football right now, He has weapons and all his skills and Andy Reid is meshing all those things together into a very powerful offense.
Yeah the Giants got beat by the Cowboys by 13 points but then again It wasn't as if McCann made amazing play for his 101 yard pick 6, It was a error by Nicks. Another TD taken away by a holding call.. that's 14 points there that we cost ourselves. Those kind of mistakes are what we either overcome or we let them take over the team. I'm hoping this is one of those over come weeks, I'm hoping Fewell has put together a perfect game plan, It's going to be up to the front 4 of Osi, Cofield, Canty and Tuck to put in a magical game. The Eagles defense has their holes also. There are stakes in this game and nothing bigger right now is than being 1st of your division because the NFC wildcard race is a mess and You really don't won't to be fighting for that 5th and 6th seed at the end. Tiebreakers will be a huge factor this season !!! Giants by 3

Good defense (Giants) usually beats good offense (Philadelphia)Some offense (Giants) is always better than no defense (Philadelphia)The Giants will still implode, it is just to soon for that...

Coming from the guy who picked the Seahawks and Lions over the Giants, you can't blame me for finding it funny you picking them now over when it's their most important part of the season, in a very important game...Actually I don't think you picked them to win a game all season, So you believe the Giants should be 0-9 right now and still thinking they will collaspe? If they do implode wouldn't this game be the one to begin that process?

You are right I don't think that they are that good of a team at all...but they are men, and they have pride...Losing to a 1-7 hapless minor league team at home can due that to ya...lolBut I have picked the Bears every week...I guess my defense is stepping it up...If we make the playoffs, I sure would like to play the Giants again...I am positive that their would be a different outcome...lol

Thank you for proving me right again for the fact you really have no knowlegde in this sport at all but merely just "guess work" on your part as a homer.

Ahh well, Goodluck with the rest of the way Nostradamus!!!

QUOTE(#25):

Grow up dude...You are seldom right...Remember the Jay Cutler fumbled that he actually scored on, the one that you said was a fumble 20 times...you are still not over getting your lunched handed to you on those facts...the funny part is to this day, you have not manned up and said that you were wrong...lol...ClownGiants would have won most likely, if they would have taken care of the ball...But I told you that the Giants would implode just like last year...It just started before I thought it would... but you stuck your chest out and crowed to the capacity that your lungs could handle...Good luck on the rest of the year, you will need it when you are watching the playoffs on TV

Seriously? Do you still need a Pacifier on the Cutler fumble? This why Lions fans have more class then you! Let it go Indy, It's like if I was daggling a string in front of you and watching you just explode..lol And it's still bothering you..Wow, Seriously I'm sorry that crap is still eating at you but remove the Pacifier already man!

Really? if the Giants taken care of the ball they most likely would have won, Glad you are here to clear that up Mr. Obvious. We would have never cracked that code. ESPN, FOX, NFL NETWORK are still lost as to what really happen in the game. You should let them know!..LOL

Given the Giants haven't been a .500 team from November to December the last 5 years, You predict they will implode? Again, Thanks again Mr. Obvious.. You should hit Vegas with the brain Rain man..lol

Yes I do watch the Playoffs on TV, I can't fly around the country to go to every game? You do you there's 2 teams in New York right? Well 3 if you want to be technical.. I know you have to google it to find out the 3rd..lol

Not sure where you get this crowing from but I ask you, How many times have you given up on the Bears and the Staff? It's really like dealing with a child when it comes to you BG, you know this right? You can't be this simple minded? Maybe you have some condition, I apologize if that's the issue. You can't be this horrible at being a sports fan or even Bears fan, maybe it's how you come off but it's SOOOO Childish... I wish I could have a serious talk on here with you but you are such a baby when things are bad and such a baby with a new toy when it's good... You seriously need to get it together and just be a mature sports fan...I can go all day with your na na na boo boo stuff but at some point you have to say .... Really?

PS: Yes I'm always right... Atleast it's a honest thought!
