MLB  > General MLB  > What the Red Sox need to do
December 10, 2008, 08:03 PM
Ok so I have thought this over in my mind and I think I know how to solve two things at once, I know it may cause other problems, but it maybe the best option. Joe Mauer is slated to be a free agent in 2009, and I doubt he is going back to the Twins because someone of that caliber does not fit there. What I propose is the Red Sox trade Lars Anderson and either Michael Bowden or Clay Buckholtz for Joe Mauer or at least consider it as an option. Getting Joe Mauer would solve both the middle of the order problem and the catching problem.
