MMA  > General MMA  > Brock vs Mir III

I don't care for it and I really don't want to watch it. The fight does nothing for both fighters especially Brock. I think Brock should fight big Nog or Congo, the HW in the UFC is starting to thin out

QUOTE(#1):

Its the only money fight the UFC can make right now. Cain and JDS are tied up. Nelson is in contract limbo, and Carwin just had surgery. I do not care for it either, but it makes sense financially for the UFC.

You wouldn't want to watch Big nog fight Brock instead of Mir?

But the problem is, say Nog wins. You can't have him fight Cain or JDS for the title. If Mir can beat Lesnar, it opens up fresh fights for the UFC. Mir vs Cain, Mir vs JDS.

Thats true, HW in ufc just needs some new fresh faces, I am getting tired of the old ones.

Hw is the only division that the ufc has under half of the top fighters

The rest they are missing one or two top guys but hw is an actual compeditive weight divishion outside the ufc

Why would Nog not be able to fight Cain again? Everyone gets a rematch in the UFC. UFC is all about rematches. GSP got thumped by Serra and they gave him an immediate rematch. If Nog beats Lesnar then he deserves a title shot.

IMO the HW division is the only weightclass that Strikeforce has a better group of fighters.

I think they are about the same but def won't disagree. HW in strikeforce is the only class I can actually watch and enjoy. I still think Fedor is overrated and is not a best ever.

While I'm never averse to seeing Frank Mir get his face pounded in, this seems so forced. Instead of trying to sell an entire card simply with Lesnar's fight, I'd rather see him fight a lower profile fighter as the second main event under a title fight. But who would we have him fight?

I know a guy. It would be perfect. The guy is riding three straight victories--all finishes. He's been trying to work his way back into the UFC, and this would be a great way to make a splash. Plus, he's a two-time former UFC Heavyweight champion.

Come on guys! Let our voices be heard: we want Brock Lesnar vs. Tim Sylvia! BOOK IT MR. WHITE!

;-)

Not him thats for sure, you can make a case for a bunch of people but not for a guy who came up with a bunch of excuses to come to the ufc and fight the best.

If your saying that Fedor isn't the best ever than who are you saying is?

THe clear number 2 would have to be Big Nog, and Fedor beat him twice in his prime.

Big Nog vs Brock!

Who has Fedor fought since pride that even worth talking about?? He was good during pride but after that the quality of fighters are below his talents. There really isn't any great HW YET in MMA, Randy Couture is prob ONE of the closest best HW ever in MMA. He kept up with the competition and after all this years he is still fighting in the top league.

I can't disagree about Nog, he is actually one of my favorite fighters and he is at the end of his road in MMA. If I had to rank top 3

1. Randy
2. Nog
3. Fedor

but that is about to change the next 5-10 yrs
