MMA  > General MMA  > Lesnar - Crossroads???

Jim: I know we fought a lot about that.
I chuckled when Lesnar lost (I am sorry to bring that up, but you know I don't mean to shove it in your face).
I really hope he can learn to take a punch, but IMO he was exposed by Carwin and exposed even further By Cain and now probably every fighter (even Big NOG) will try to trade punches with him instead of attempting to take him down or whatever....

So, is it Do or Die for him now?

IMO it is now that we'll see if he is really a great one, able to overcome this or if he was a fluke that just took sometime for people to find how to beat him....

I think the latter, but hope for the first option, as I always told you guys that I just want to see history in the making. But It is hard. Specially if you take into account his age.

So... Can an old dog learn new tricks??? SOUND OFF!!!!

I am a huge Brock Lesnar fan he also embarrassed me lol. I always kinda knew that if you can defend his take down then the chances for Brock to win was very slim. If Brock doesn't learn how to give and take a punch then he won't last much longer.

He still has alot of holes and I hope he never wins again but with that said he is also still a very dangerous fighter because of his size and strength and wrestling abilities.

If he doesn't learn to defend himself properly he won't have a good future.

The problem I see with this, is the fact he came in as a big time fighter.
His gym is only for him, and it is hard for me to envision he will train only getting hit. And besides, the sparring partners are not big name fighters. they will NOT punch him as hard as the top HW's would. And that is why I don't believe he will improve as much as he should.

the problem is that everyone else is there only to service Lesnar.
he needs to train against real fighters that will take the fight TO Lesnar.

Any sparing guy will be afraid to throw a hard punch at the top guy in the gym.

I imagine this as when Rocky went to train with Apolo. This is what Lesnar need to do. Go to a dirty gym where most fighters will HATE LEsnar and try to beat him.
And yes, I am using Rocky balboa as my example!!!! :)
Now you miss me!!!

I say: stick to cardio and wrestling/ BJJ.

Lesnar is already 33, he will never be a good striker.

But I also agree that he needs to get punched in training, get used to the idea (not to mention the feeling).
