Their D line coach was suspended for the UW game after he admitted he instructed a player to fake an injury against Oregon.

Gary is as bad at broadcasting as he was a Browns QB..How does this guy keep his job is a mystery to me, he nothing to offer during that game and I agree with you, he was offensive in more then one ocation specially to the other QB???

I'm not a fan of Gary Danielson but I don't think he was out of line with his comments. It was obvious that the Cal linemen were taking dives, and as Crazy Rabbit pointed out, Cal admitted it and punished the coach responsible. What I think is laughable is that people think that this strategy will work in the long run. Look at Oregon's final drive of that game. They ran 9 minutes of clock off. They like running fast but they don't have to.

The problem is both Gary and Verne Lundquist are nothing but tools of CBS and the SEC. If they really believe some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths, they don't need to worry about getting sued, they need to worry about going to Bellvue.

Unfortunately it's not defamation or slander if it's accurate - and as CR pointed out, and (with a nod to Norka) the accuracy shan't be denied!

Danielson can comment if he chooses, but I agree he is as SEC homeristic as it gets. His handlers have him trained well.

It was distasteful. The only reason he even opened the discourse on Cal was by insinuating that S. Carolina was employing the same tactics. Should have just kept his yap shut.

Agreed it was a stretch thinking S. Carolina was doing it. I don't think it was distasteful to discuss what some people may employee as a strategy to slow up offenses. It's a part of the game.

Danielson should be sued just because he's so irritating. Does CBS have that hard of a time finding good sportscasters?

But yes, they deserve admittance to that New York State Hospital.
Even if just for a days of evaluation.

Unfortunately, many of these announcers are hired by the major networks more for their 'acting' abilities than they are for their unbiased opinions.

Cal Whiney Bears at it again? I think it was the 04 bowl season when the BCS at large went to Texas as the most obvious pick, the whiney Bears vowed to "take their wrath out on Texas Tech"in the Holiday bowl. They took their wrath and took a 45-23 beating at the hands of a TT team that had been demolished by Texas earlier, Then Texas beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Growl Growl---whine whine.
