NFL  > Pittsburgh Steelers  > Take it easy on my poor Bengals!
December 6, 2010, 02:43 PM
I'm surprised the Steelers are only 9.5 pt favorites. The 2010 Bengals really stink-- and I mean they stink when compared to a lot of other stinky Bengals squads. I think Cincy is gunning for the #1 draft pick. They love throwing those high draft picks away on losers.

Anyway, best of luck to the Steelers-- their defense really seems to be clamping down in preparation for a good playoff run.

Uh, Ever hear of any given Sunday? This game is no gimme by any stretch of the imagination. Division rivals and the Steelers only beat the Bungles by 6 points the last time they met. AND Cincy was driving when the Steelers D stepped it up and stopped them (Cincy got to the 12 yard line). Cincy has lost a lot of games, but have been in just about all of them. No one is taking this game lightly.

You don't think Pittsburgh will have a substantial home-field advantage this time around?

Yep, they have Home Field advantage, but substantial? It didn't do much against the Pats and Ravens earlier this year. The Steelers have a ton of injuries, particularly on the Oline.

It seems We're both Bengals Fans, but there's a split in the road between Us,I think the Bengals can put alot of Hurt on the Steelers and Ravens[who we've already beatin this Year.]We may be in the celler, but just sometimes that animal, escapes and goes on a rampage. And May just have enough gas in the Tank for a can of "Whupasz".We'll see how that pans out.But look at it this way,We get a chance too do 2 things ifn we lose,A new QB and HC!!!!!

Dang it, EazyDozit-- your optimism is making me think the Bengals might show up and make a game of it!

Welp,The Bengals have injuries too[sauce for the goose],But it's gonna be ugly and the Winner won't feel like one afterwards......

I never take any game or opponent for granted, particularly a Division rival. When a team has a lost season like the Bungles are having, nothing lightens the sting than to do damage to a rival.

Mike Brown owner of the Bengals[as stupid as a sack of hammers

There is a sack of hammers out in my garage that isn't nearly as stupid as Mike Brown.

LOL......"stupid...sack of hammers".....snicker

This week's game really has alot of uncertainty, given the large number of walking wounded on the Steelers side. Ben's so banged up that I wouldn't be surprised if Lefty gets the start, so Ben can rest his foot another week. Sepulveda junked his ACL again...lucky we were able to get that kid from GB, who has alot of experience kicking in bad weather.... As long as the zebras don't try to take the game away again( remember >160yds of penalties last game, including several the NFL apologized for as clearly erroneous, that helped give the Bengals a couple of late TDs ), the D should be able to handle the 3 amigos ( Carson/Ocho/TO ) and Suisham has shown that we can rely on the kicking game again, if needed.......

But to be sure...WILL be pullin' for both the Ohio teams in their games against the Ratbirds...:)

"Iron,
I see the Bengals beating the Ravens and the Steelers before the seasons over,You may dissagree,But i see it hapening.
No disrespect intended but there's a Steelers Fan that's went out of bounds too Me."

EZ: I have to give you credit, yer stickin' with yer boys....kinda like I did when I had no choice but to root for Bubby Brister ( shudder.....the bad old days in 'da Burgh ). If the game was in Cincy, I'd maybe be more inclined to give your guys a chance. I can see a win against the Ravens, as their secondary would have gotten torched by a healthy Roethlisberger ( he overthrew wide open receivers a half-dozen times bcz his plant foot was injured ). But I just can't see Tomlin allowing the team to underestimate Cincy after the effort they put forth for the win in Bal'mer......each of us are entitled to our opinions, I respect yours....but I think I've got both feet inside the sideline on this one...........;)
