Just one oddball thought- 7-5 at UF isn't good enough to stay around but 6-6 at UGA is.....

I'd agree. He had a huge look of "What am I doing here?" most of the year.

Read that he is wanting to spend more time with his family ...

I'm guessing he regretted not stepping down last year.

Is Dan Mullen going to replace him? If not, who? This could start a domino effect in a year that was looking pretty calm as far as coaching changes were concerned.

I think Florida has reached the point where it is expecting BCS births most years and national title discussions every other. As such, I don't think they're going to hire someone who doesn't have a lot of HC experience. I know Dan Mullen coached at Florida for Meyer, but I think Florida, being a big-time program, will do a full search to see who's willing to bite and look for a big name. I wouldn't be shocked if Stoops name gets dropped again, and after that, maybe Chris Petersen or Kyle Whittingham.

Those are good names. I would think Mullen's in the mix simply because they know him. Of course, that could work against him too.

Speaking of which... the 'ol "Let's win the last one for the skipper" - as in skips out of town- ploy isn't going to fly here, Urban!

That's about the nicest thing I've ever heard a Bama fan say about Auburn!

His name keeps coming up for jobs and they don't seem like good fits so I've not been worried. If it comes up for Florida, I would be worried. I think Auburn's willing to make him the highest paid assistant if it will keep him. $$$ might not work though.

I hear Stanford may have a coach willing to travel east....
