Kind of like him saying he paid three different prices for a laptop that was "stolen property" then finding out "stolen property" is the lessor charge he pleaded guilty of versus be prosecuted for breaking and entering, which he would have been found guilty.
I don't really know enough about the laptop thing but I think something stinks here...he always talks about his dad being involved with everything he does...I don't think it could ever be proved he knew about the pay to play, but we can all have our personal opinions, honestly I love watching the kid play but I don't believe him...

I do agree with the fact that as soon as they found out about his dad he should of been inelgible, I think the NCAA understud there were going to be lawyers involved....NCAA was protecting theit ass..so they let him play....the investigation still going on..too bad for TCU..

Do a Google search for "Cameron Newton Milton McGregor," or "Cameron Newton FBI" and you can probably find out the stories that are still only rumors. The FBI supposedly found some evidence that has nothing to do with MS State but does involve a big payday for Daddy, a dog track, and a corrupt bank on the Plains. The other case is still underway, so the NCAA has not accessed the FBI's alleged evidence yet. Personally, I think the NCAA and SEC are trying to keep the investigation from seeing the light of day until after the season is over. Auburn and Newton bring plenty of drama, controversy, and the absolute guarantee that the BCS Title game will be sold out.

The McGregor story is still out there and most people think it will resurface. Problem could be the FBI does not care about football and will release evidence as they are ready and the othe pieces will fall into palce.

Many colleges "didn't know" or did what they were supposed to do when they found out and still got the book thrown at them. Right, Bobby Bowden? I can't stand Cam's arrogance, and I hope that he IS guilty. For all the bashing I did to USC for their dirty deeds and they finally came out, Auburn deserves the same...bwahahahaah!

It's hard to believe that Newton, Jr. knew nothing about what his father was doing given his repeated insistence that he & his father are close! I smell another Reggie Bush type scenario coming up. As for Newton making it in the NFL, he may well go the way that Jamarcus Russell & Vince Young have gone & turn out to be a complete bust, just as they have. By the way, I agree that Newton is absolutely "full of himself".
