Boy, it it's true, JRM won't be happy....

I thought he would have waited a year until Richt is shown the door. If it's true, I wonder if he'll leave if Georgia comes a calling?

ESPN and Yahoo both confirm. Strong would have been my choice, but you have to be pretty good to be wanted as head coach at Texas and now UF.

Not quite sure how I feel about this... I was hoping for Mullen.

UF to UGA would certainly be at best a step sideways and more likely a step down.

I'm ok with this at first blush, but was NOT expecting it.

I'm guessing WM equates UF with the Horns as far as "destination" jobs go? Or just got tired of waiting for Mack to call it a career? Or maybe sees something in the program he doesn't like?

Going from one Type A+ personality right to another. Wonder how the assistants are gonna shake out?

As long as we get a new OC...

He played there. Nationally, it might appear like a step down but the right coach can make Georgia a winner. Of course, I'm not sure Georgia boosters would take him after coaching at Florida.

wait, what? Hm. Okay. go gators?

Muschamp is now the 5th Saban protege to accept a head coaching job. The others are Mark Dantonio, Derek Dooley, Jimbo Fisher, and Mike Haywood. I'm glad Florida didn't steal Kirby Smart.

Fitting end to a disastrous season. Time to circle the wagons in Austin and regroup. Congrats to Florida - I think y'all got a good guy. And best wishes to Muschamp in this endeavor.

Classy post from a classy guy.

The Merlot cellar at the Ice Haus is at your disposal, JRM. Have whatever you like.

I'm inclined to think that Mack Brown isn't calling it quits anytime soon. I'm sure he talked to him before interviewing with Florida. Good for him...be interesting to see how his assistants shape out.
