No points, no nonsense. Straight up. Being under the influence of Belgian ales, I go on the record with completely irrational picks.

1. BCS National Championship Game (Jan. 10): Auburn (13-0) vs. Oregon (12-0). Every fiber of my being tells me Auburn will win. I'm picking the Ducks.
2. Rose (Jan. 1): TCU (12-0) vs. Wisconsin (11-1). SEC teams have proven time and again that fast defenses beat powerful Obese 11 offensive lines. I'm picking Wisconsin.
3. Sugar (Jan. 4): Ohio State (11-1) vs. Arkansas (10-2). I truly admire The Vest and believe that tOSU is overdue for a resounding victory over an SEC team. Arky could care less. Razorbacks.
4. Orange (Jan. 3): Stanford (11-1) vs. Virginia Tech (11-2). VT is on a roll. Beamer's Boys love a good bowl game. Stanford's crossing the continent. Time zone and a lack of fans should wither their will to win. Harbaugh won't let that happen. The Cardinal wins.
5. Capital One (Jan. 1): Michigan State (11-1) vs. Alabama (9-3). Plain and simple, Bama should win. MSU's overachieved this year. Their luck should've run out. The 1st half should be all Tide. Having taken note of Auburn's success, the Spartans will come out in the 2nd half and win it.
6. Cotton (Jan. 7): LSU (10-2) vs. Texas A&M (9-3). LSU should lose. TAMU should rule. Won't happen that way. LSU happens into a win.
7. Las Vegas (Dec. 22): Boise State (11-1) vs. Utah (10-2). Normally, my sympathies would be with the Utes. This will be one of the best bowl games played. The Broncos spend all of their wrath upon their opponents and claim vicotry in the end.
8. Alamo (Dec. 29): Oklahoma State (10-2) vs. Arizona (7-5). Like an Australian game of two-up, who knows until they hit the ground. Two heads say OK State.
9. Chick-fil-A (Dec. 31): Florida State (9-4) vs. South Carolina (9-4). I'm not fond of the Ol' Visor Tosser, but that won't affect my pick. Jimbo's hot, but Sterger's gone. Mojo's with the Gamecocks.
10. Insight (Dec. 28): Missouri (10-2) vs. Iowa (7-5). Mizzou has more victories, but the State of Iowa has RAGBRAI. Hawkeyes.
11. Fiesta (Jan. 1): Oklahoma (11-2) vs. Connecticut (8-4). The Sooners will overrun the Huskies. No question. I'm picking Connecticut. They'll struggle back from a seemingly insurmountable deficit. Turnovers will help them steal victory.
12. Gator (Jan. 1): Mississippi State (8-4) vs. Michigan (7-5). Conventional wisdom says the bowl scene is so foreign to Miss State, the team will succumb to every distraction and make all of the mistakes that can be made. Shoelace-o-philes seriously doubt that Miss State's D can cope with Dennard. Not even RichRod can derail this train - Michigan victory. Bulldogs come out winners. Let the cowbells ring.
13. Champs Sports (Dec. 28): West Virginia (9-3) vs. N.C. State (8-4). Despite the almost universally held opinion that Stewart shouldn't be coaching above the D-III level, Dubya Virginie triumphs.
14. Sun (Dec. 31): Miami (7-5) vs. Notre Dame (7-5). ND fans will travel. Miami fans never really did, even during the halcyon days. Irish, by Kelly!
15. Kraft Fight Hunger (Jan. 9): Nevada (12-1) vs. Boston College (7-5). Wolfpack. 'Nuff said.

16. Poinsettia (Dec. 23): San Diego State (8-4) vs. Navy (8-3*). Other than sailors and veterans, who is going to pick the Midshipmen over the red hot Aztecs? I will. Go Navy!
17. Liberty (Dec. 31): UCF (10-3) vs. Georgia (6-6). I'm not particularly fond of the Dawgs, but "the daughter" went to UGA. Trembling Chihuahuas unhorse the Knights.
18. Hawaii (Dec. 24): Hawaii (10-3) vs. Tulsa (9-3). When in doubt, go with the home team. Rainbow Warriors.
19. Independence (Dec. 27): Air Force (8-4) vs. Georgia Tech (6-6). I don't like picking against the military academies, but, sting 'em, Jackets!
20. Holiday (Dec. 30): Nebraska (10-3) vs. Washington (6-6). I was searching for a sign about this one. My wife enjoys 'Weeds,' thinks Celia's a bad mother, sympathizes with Isabel, and laughed heartily at Huskeroos. Their Nebs to win, please.
21. Texas (Dec. 29): Baylor (7-5) vs. Illinois (6-6). Da Bears.
22. Outback (Jan. 1): Florida (7-5) vs. Penn State (7-5). JoePa! JoePa! Oy! Oy! Oy! Nittany Lions.
23. Humanitarian (Dec. 18): Northern Illinois (10-3) vs. Fresno State (8-4). Ooooo... memories of of true freshman QB and Wyoming's unlikely victory are suddenly "fresh" in my mind. Bulldogs don't frack it up this time.
24. Music City (Dec. 30): North Carolina (7-5) vs. Tennessee (6-6). Go Vols!
25. TicketCity (Jan. 1): Texas Tech (7-5) vs. Northwestern (7-5). Huh? Um, TT.
26. Military (Dec. 29): Maryland (8-4) vs. East Carolina (6-6). I want to pick ECU, I really, really do. Terps.
27. BBVA Compass (Jan. 8): Pittsburgh (7-5) vs. Kentucky (6-6). Relieved of the burden of Wannstedt, do the Panthers romp? Nah. Wildcats.
28. Pinstripe (Dec. 30): Kansas State (7-5) vs. Syracuse (7-5). An Orange victory will be better for college football.
29. Meineke Car Care (Dec. 31): USF (7-5) vs. Clemson (6-6). I don't know what to make of the Bulls or Clemson. Tigers.
30. Armed Forces (Dec. 30): SMU (7-6) vs. Army (6-5*): I feel unclean for picking against the military academies, but the Mustangs should prevail.
32. Little Caesars (Dec. 26) Toledo (8-4) vs. Florida International (6-6). Dumbfounded, I'll go with Toledo.
33. New Mexico (Dec. 18): BYU (6-6) vs. UTEP (6-6). Yiminee! Too many bowl games! Miners, because it seems an unwise pick.
34. GoDaddy.com (Jan. 6): Miami of Ohio (9-4) vs. Middle Tennessee (6-6). The question is, who will be falling out of her blouse during the commercials? Redhawks. Just because.
